I just bought a Ural Gear Up 2WD motorcycle and sidecar. the tent, stove, sleeping bag and clothes fit in the trunk of the sidecar. I have a 20 foot camper with the basics, but want to get back to camping in the back country that the motorcycle will take me.

I love it, I am currently re-equipping my camping supplies for the same thing in the NW. Been down the RV type thing and prefer (at least I think) the dispersed type of camping. I am 74 so is this a pipe dream in the mind or will my body rebel😁 Good luck with your plans! God bless

I am with you in going off the beaten path. My camping has always been backpacking or tent camping (no campgrounds though). But as I approach 60, I’ve been researching RVs. It looks like the Thor Gemini KB, with all wheel drive, might be a solution. However, they are expensive. Perhaps a 2 year old version might pop up here for sale in the midwest, sometime this Fall. Safe travels!

@@RVTA I can barely afford a used KB, if I can find one. The floor plan is only a couple years old. But, it is perfect as you don't need the slide to be out in order to sleep. Perhaps lifting the suspension slightly, and using all terrain tires, would be enough to take those less beaten paths. 🙂
