    2:10 very interesting question.
Friedrich II of the Staufer family was King of Sicily from 1198, Roman-German King from 1212 and Emperor of the Roman-German Empire from 1220 until his death. From 1225 he also bore the title "King of Jerusalem". He was the only one who conquered Jerusalem through diplomatic means & tactics. (also abolished slavery deeming it a abomination in the eyes of God) HRRDN.

I think the war-culture has dramatically changed in the west. 1000 years ago they most likely knew what the deal was and why they fight. I doubt that this is the case in general today. I think the old days are much different from what we believe they are.

Ottomans were good to adopting or copying from other cultures things they liked. They took hostages to prevent rebellion from that occupied territories. They also made there hostages fight for them. They were dispensable to them.

The type of hostage the Ottomans used to take were most commonly janissaries which the point was to be used as soldiers to boost the numbers of the ottoman armies it was a very common practice that’s why they weee given military training and education

They will take kids in young age with the thought that they will forget and can use them as regiment troops to invade those lands. Ittomans never thought that he would be influenced by his brothers and bodyguard to keep remembering where he came from, and have alive the desire to go back

The hostage practice was used by Romans also. The Romans applied the Blood tax, Which means taking boys ages 6 and up from lands they occupied. Training and making very good professional Soldiers, at the same time they took way future soldiers of the former adversaries. The Ottomans applied the same tactic. Both Romans and Ottomans were superpowers at their times. The Roman Praetorian guard, and legionnaires were mainly these boys from other lands indoctrinated, For the Ottomans the Janissary. Core , Was entirely made of Christian boys from the Balcans. Mainly Albanians Serbs Greeks.

Hello Mr Giant, I like the video reactions you make they are very good. I just need to say Skanderburg being albanian is propaganda he was Greek and Serbian. He name was George Kastriotis. Kastriotis is a greek clan surname. Also he used the Byzantine flag during his revolution. Also Epirus is historical Greek.
I posted another comment with video links but it seams it got hidden by youtube as youtube dosen't like it when people put links in comments. Theirs a good video from kosovo reports about it "Was Skanderbeg Serbian? Origins of George Kastrioti"
And their are other videos about it if you look it up
Like this video too "Georgios Kastriotis - The Greek-Serbian National Hero of Albania"
Their are many videos about this

you are the grandson of a greek whose ancestors were exiled from Asia/Anatolia by the Ottomans?! or Europe's cancer is a oncovirus (serbian) ?! his name is Gjergj Kastrioti is not georgios kastriotis. he is an Albanian born in Dibra.. 🇦🇱👈 this flag Illyrian flag. Constantine the great, who founded Byzantium, is a Roman emperor of Illyrian origin who was born and raised in the Illyrian city of nisus. he was not a culture thief like a serbian or greek .. (beware of false knowledge; it is dangerous than ignorance. George Bernard Shaw) my surname is Kastrati iam 100% Albanian from Kosovo

No no really , you are the one making propaganda. His name was literally gjergj an Albanian name his father was gjon also an Albanian name. His mother was voisava also a common Albanian name , she has been linked to muzaka . If she was Serbian then why does no Serbian royal family mention or claim her .
Her father has been connected to be grgur which is an Albanian name meaning man out of stone , and there is even an Albanian village named grgur .
      Stop claiming Albanian history
