I loved Ivan but there just wasn’t enough chemistry there. Ben took too long to figure things out and never got around to reassuring all her hurts and fears about another failed marriage. Zak was solid the whole time and he spoke to her deepest fears and let her know he was in it for the long haul. It was what she needed, plus they have amazing chemistry.

the downfall is that ben did not have the full day fantasy date and the last date with taysia. he was short of 2 dates so of course she has more feelings nd discussions with zack.

This season was so freaking refreshing! Well, I mean Tayshia’s portion. The conversations were so raw and real, finally! Such a great group of men and Tashia did not disappoint. She is so poised and well spoken, and I truly appreciated how she cut right through the crap that almost happened. This season really reminded me of some of the early seasons of the show when it was really about finding love while providing some good television without the social media seekers. While I missed my weekly travel around the world this season, I so enjoyed the wholesomeness of this season. I truly hope the producers continue to pursue this caliber of cast and lead.

The way Zac communicated so thoughtfully makes him the person contestant EVER from the bachelor franchise. He didn't get into being rude, or dishonest or saying something just because Tayshia wanted to hear it. We need more effective communication in this world!!!!!!

@@shauncampbell4371 I think it was probably a conversation they had during fantasy suites since we didn't hear it otherwise. it seems like Tayshia is very catholic, and Ivan is atheist or agnostic or just someone who isn't as focused on religion as her. So I think after finding out about that during fantasy suites, she realized that would probably be an issue for her long term.
When I met my husband I wasn’t even considering marriage and kids. We got married 6 months after our first date and our first daughter was born a year and a half later. We have been married for 22 years now and I can remember that while I didn’t want to get married before I met him, I indisputably wanted to marry him.

I literally forgot about all the other men after the first hour. She was so strong letting the others go, her energy towards Zach was unbridled! The lover energy was so dang strong omg I could feel it through the TV. It felt so strong and I balled my eyes out after their proposal omg. Abc, please keep casting older leads and contestants ...finally a real love story! Crazy season, but incredible chemistry plus commitment between these two.... that's a combo that is dire for a relationship.

I didn't think Ben was emotionally ready for that serious of a relationship. Every time he was asked what he loved about Tayshia, he said, "The way she makes me feel." (He said it at least 3 times!) Umm, that's not a character quality about her, that's about HIM.

I think the biggest compliment I can give to Zac is: I honestly like Tayshia a little bit more when she's around him! She just seems more raw and forthcoming about how she feels, and vibrant around him. It makes me more interested in HER!

Interesting. I have to agree! I think he's "different" to her, partly because he's not all caught up in fame and fashion and social media and glitz. He's been through hell and had a lot of help healing. He's just a real guy (who DID decide to go on TV...) and that's very grounding. I think he must feel so solid and stable to her because he's centered that way. A rock. So his REALNESS sparks something in her, maybe she's never met men like that before. It allows her to be even more natural too, more relaxed, more herself, more open-hearted.

She told Lauren during her co-hosting on ET that she discovered when fighting it doesn’t have to last 6, 8 hours or overnight. She said she’s with a real man now! He has said he discovered she didn’t act different when the cameras weren’t around. That he wanted her to be herself and fight for her position on things rather than give in and she’s shown him that.

now that this came to an end...I really want to thank Claire for choosing Dale and leaving early....otherwise we would have never been able to see that this season had the best group of guys...

I think Tasia is ready she’s just scared because of her previous divorce. I think Zack is the right choice nine years of sobriety means he’s been working on himself for nine years he’s got his shit together. Ben is too wishy-washy. Ben needs more time for therapy and self reflection.
I agree. Ben may need more time. It was only last year and the year before that he tried to take his life. He deserves love too but right now he is still working on personal growth and self-love and emotional expression whereas Zac is emotionally expressive and mature. Perfect example was during their date where they danced when Tayshia was freaking out and Zac just knew without her saying anything and he was like "Hey, look at me. It's okay." He is her rock.
He also tried killing himself like a year ago. That’s like way too recent in my opinion. It takes time to heal and fully love yourself
@@RC-bv3ns Also, during the wedding shoot, Zach realized she was freaking out and he said, it's ok I've got you. He never gave her a hard time about it and then went on to help her to enjoy herself. I liked how aware he was of her emotional state. Also I also noticed that just before the fantasy suite when he told her a couple of stuff, she said I feel like there is more you need to say. How did she know? That's when he told her he loved her. They had a way of reading each other which I thought was awesome.
I was not shocked Ivan went home. But her reason for it sounded like an excuse. Girl we can ALL SEE you are NOT INTO HIM. Plain and simple, be honest with Ivan. He deserves that much.

They had less to do but it forced real conversation and much deeper connection. I loved it. The second part of this season was the best so far IMO.

Pretty much every single guy talked about how Tayshia makes them feel, how happy they are to be with her etc. especially Ben! I was rooting for Ben in the beginning but then I got really annoyed by the fact that he constantly talked about himself (after the first breakup he said "I will be ok")No word about what he plans to do to make her happy and to make her feel special. Zac was probably the only one who talked about taking care of her!

I noticed that, too, Ben's a nice guy, but self-obsessed. Showed constant focus on himself and how she made him feel, never saying one word about HER. Not even her beauty, let alone her caring, strength, spirit, bubbliness, sincerity... Zac was very good at bringing up those things! He's mature and experienced enough to be able to think about another human. So impressed when he'd repeat bits of their convos that he really took in, like her desires, such as how she needs him to be loyal-and he said he would be.💜

@@alw87642 YES! Ben has communication issues throughout the entire season. He’s a good guy but he has growth to go through before he’s ready for a marriage. He still has too many walls up. Zac has been so openly himself and honest and true. Ugh I just love him!!

I really loveeee Tayshia and Zac's connection. It is so beautiful, real and raw. I kept thinking maybe he was hiding something, but I'm starting to believe they are perfect for each other. That proposal was absolutely incredible.

Ben spoke of his experience on the show in terms of his strategy to stay til the end -- not so much for Tayshia, but for the opportunity and exposure. I can't help suspecting that he said, "I love you" 'cause that's what his character (the guy who struggles to open up) is supposed to do in the end.

Re: Tayshia's Dad's Talk. I think he was talking about Ben and it was cut out because of how much he expressed liking Zac. BUT I think he wanted her to be careful regardless with Zac and not get too caught up in the process without considering the potential faults. Since we can tell she's wearing the same outfit when she goes to break up with Ben - I think that's an indication of what her dad was talking about!

@@kmbn1967 Yep. Her brothers fell in love with Zac, for sure. And I’m sure Mom and Dad were in love too. As for getting rid of Ben, she did do it right after her talk with her Dad on the first day because of the outfit and because when she had her last date with Zac she did some voiceovers saying she was stressed since her talk with her Dad but that’s producer mess. If she saw Zac before talking to her Dad the voiceover dialog wouldn’t make sense. She was asked who she saw first on the last date and she said Zac because that was the order broadcast and she following her NDA that she can’t reveal stuff.
I have only watch 2 seasons of The Bachelorette, this and Rachel's season. Tayshia is a class act, she was superb in this role.
They are honestly one of the most real relationships I have seen in this show! The way he said I love you last night and proposed tonight were the most real and raw moments this show has given to us! So happy for the couple!

Zach was the right choice, throughout the whole process with their relationship their were no doubts or missteps. Ben on the other hand, while I really loved him, I felt that he was talking about himself a bit too much. Not in a superficial way or bad way but when her father asked what he loved about HER, he said he loved her bc of how she made HIM feel. i felt like Zach was always putting Tayshia’s feelings and emotions first. He didn’t hesitate or have any misgiving during the fantasy sweets. I think Ben may still have some growing to do, to have that type of foresight, but i do really think he is amazing as well. Overall very impressed with this season and super satisfied with its conclusion.

First of all, let us all give due credit to Clare. Had she not known and chosen who she wanted right away, we wouldn't even had the chance to have the lovely Tayshia as the lead. It was nice to see 2 deserving bachelorettes that had interesting background stories (age for Clare and divorce for Tayshia) and were absolute boss ladies in knowing what they want.
Of the final 4, Zac has always come across as the most mature, grounded guy. While the other guys were either doubting themselves or being too assured of themselves in what they felt they had, zac was confident enough about his relationship with Tayshia, but was still realistic about it as it never escaped him that anything could happen. His proposal is hands down the BEST ARTICULATED and MOST SINCERE speech I have heard from any guy on the show. It was just equal parts of levity and gravity. It's the only one that has effectively moved me to tears.
Zac explained that he always did want to have kids and get married but he said he didn't as a defense mechanism. Which I get... I have always wanted kids and find love, but since I was young I said I didn't because I didn't believe it could happen to me. So I have been trying to protect myself. He already addressed it and it makes complete sense to me.
Honestly it was the BEST finale ever! So authentic and what true love looks like!! I felt it did you?

Ben reminds me of Clare. She went on and on about how wonderful Dale made her feel. It was all about *her* feelings, not Dale's. Both Clare and Ben seem to need to love themselves before they can truly love another. This is gonna sound harsh, but the term "emotional vampire" comes to mind. Tayshia and Zac are the exact opposite in that they are emotionally generous -- and emotionally stable.

I wasn’t surprised she send Ivan home , they were no chemistry between them. I have to said ... I was very surprised with her picking Zac even thought they have a lot of chemistry because I didn’t think she was ready for a proposal but I honestly hope and want for this to work out , it was beautiful and couldn’t stopped crying. Drug addiction is devastated, he have gone thru a lot and is amazing that Tayshia was able to see more than that on Zac.❤️
What defines CHEMISTRY, bc THEIR DATE WAS LIKE ALL OTHERS bc no one was doing more than the others, Kissing and he looked like a great kisser, and they Producer's gave him and her the most challenging dates, (but again it is that they were both mixed in Race AND THAT SHOULD HAVE HELPED, BUT TAYSHIA DON'T WANT A COLORED MAN BC HER SHOW HAD SEVERAL GREAT HANDSOME AND SMART BLACKMEN, about 4/5 of them so IVAN was very blessed or lucky to at least make it to the final 2/3....so she could not stress or state any difference except for Religion, but had her family gotten the chance to meet him they would have all loved him (especially after her big brother, and Ivan looked so much alike).....
I know that if Tayshia had told her family the info on her two "MEET HER FAMILY" they would have had concerns about they as a pick.... GOOD LUCK TAYSHIA....

I was so confused as to what her dad’s point was. It seemed like he was just saying “hey we just want you to be careful” and the editing made it seem more intense than it actually was.
I think they cut the advice he actually gave her. And that was because it would give away the ending.
Facts, I had no idea what exactly her dad was warning her against, one of the men or getting married in general 🤔
I got the feeling her dad was referring to Ben. I think her dad may have picked up on potential red flags and he was worried about her making the same mistakes she did in her previous marriage. It seems the divorce was very traumatic for her as well as for her dad. Also, I think her dad knows Zack genuinely loves Taysha.

The whole contention about religion goes to show that we as the audience only see 20% of their connection. I know for sure if you believe in religion its insanely hard to marry and start a life with someone that doesn't believe in any sort of God or higher power.

I am ex-Catholic and atheist. I married a man who was Catholic at the time, now still religious but inspired by myriad sources. We got a “dispensation of cult” from the church in order to keep it legit for him when we married. We are going on 19 years through several trials and life changes. Our relationship is stronger than ever.
I didn't want to get married and have kids until I met my husband. Sometimes you just haven't met the right person. That's reallly not that difficult to understand.
