It would be a good first colourwork project! There are a few other trickier techniques (seaming for example), but the colourwork itself is super straightforward and not very big

This is my first time watching your podcast. You have made even more grateful for knitwear designers like yourself, not only for your fabulous ideas but your infinite patience in knitting things again and again! I can’t do the maths necessary to design patterns but also there is no way I’d want to knit something several times, so a great big thank you from me for all your perseverance and hard work, which is necessary to bring your creative ideas to life. All you put in makes my hobby joyous for me! I’d love to test knit Sanna cardi as I definitely need one in my life! ❤

Thanks for doing so many v-neck options Rebecca. I think it’s overall the most flattering on the most people, yet not many sweaters today have that style. Maybe by studying your options, I could learn how to modify scoop-necks etc to v-necks across the board. Hmmm, that sounds like a good idea to try. 😂😂😂

Good morning Rebecca, Have really enjoyed you sharing your latest Lauder Cardi and Pullover, so beautiful. I think I heard you say you knit it w/o cable needles. Its amazing you could do that and keep everything accurate. You are such a gifted knitter and I enjoy seeing what you come up with! I love traditional classic knits and you hit a grand slam out of the park with these!!!!!

Your v-neck cabled cardi is stunning! The red is a great color on you.
Your productivity is crazy! I am definitely a slow knitter, and I am fine with that, but I am always impressed with what you accomplish.
The neckline on your wrap is great to wear over a dress or top so that whatever you wear underneath peaks out there. It is so interesting to hear your thoughts as you develop your designs.

If you start doing at least a little inclusive sizing for bust shaping, you would be my hero! I am not huge, but given that I am a small person, the size I need is always too small. Calculating darts is always confusing so I usually just go for the larger size which creates other issues.

    So much to love here!
We (my knitting posse & I) are excitedly awaiting the Lauder drop!
About your buttons on the red cardigan, have you tried adding a "support" button behind them?
I find they keep the 'fashion buttons' secure, don't droop like Granddad's jowls, and encourage them to stay - you know - buttoned. 'Cause popping open a button when you're reaching for a pint is wildly embarrassing.
When I sew on my buttons, I make a sandwich:
Bread: Flat boring button the same size or just a wee bit smaller than your fancy one (I like the frosted clear ones as they don't show through or make a shadow)
Meat: Button band of your cardigan - right side facing up
    Bread: Fashion button
I sew through all 3 layers of the sandwich, and voilá ~ escape proof buttons.
If I'm using an 'unspun' yarn (Lopi anyone?) or a yarn that tends to break up with itself under tension (Fibre Co's Arranmore = yum!) I will hold a double strand of sewing thread (hand-quilting or button thread is 1st choice) along with the yarn I'm using for extra strength. Because, as Vivian said in Pretty Woman, "I'm a safety girl."
Have a wonderful trip, enjoy your family time, relax!
Best wishes to you Mom, and congratulations to your step-dad!

Always great to see your videos pop up! For the wrap cardi, it honestly looks like most of the fit problems come from the upper back being too wide (at least from a sewing perspective). My shoulders tend to be 1 to 2 pattern sizes smaller than the rest of me and that gaping neckline and wide shoulders is exactly what it looks like when I don’t grade between sizes. Hope this might help. Have a great trip!

Thank you, Rebecca for thinking of us busty girls! I hate garments that hang from my boobs, making me look three times larger than my actual size and having ppl ask me if I'm pregnant lol. Atm, if I'm knitting a sweater with the body mostly in st st, I make rapid decreases in one row as I hit underbust lenght. Would be great to have a professional solution to that. In the latest Rowen magazine, Edition 3, they used a busty model which is fantastic. You can see in those photos how the garments that's more fitted under the bust looks fantastic on her, while other shapes make her look much bigger than she actually is.

The vest is non-drop, and there's some sleeve shaping instructions in the sweater and cardigan. My suggestion would be to knit the vest for the body, and then do the sleeve short rows with fewer stitches in between (only 1 or 2 between turns) to create the sleeve cap.

Thank you for another inspiring video ! I will be travelling( with Turkish airline and Malaysian airlines) next month and have understood that I won't be able to knit on the flight - absolutely gutted ... which company are you flying with ?

I'm with Quatar, I've NEVER had issues with my needles when flying. I've once had someone ask if they were knitting needles but no other issues. I'll be packing wooden needles to be careful and keeping the metal ones in my carry on.

The magazine is Finnish and Laine means "Wave" in Finnish. It's pronounced "Lei-ne"
