Square Enix meetings be like....every single time we incorporated a different genre into a JRPG we failed...let's do it again.
Biggest example is the Gummi Ship...dear Tetsuya Nomura...you didn't work on Einhänder and Project Slypheed for a reason.

So sick of devs thinking gamers actually want stupid mini games like this. This is literally a time waster meant to make you take longer to finish the game bc they can't add actual good content to a game

Exactly! This s**t should be made optional. Granted you can probably skip it but it's a key part of the story for building up the relationship with Aerith. I hate stealth elements and this reminds me of Metal Gear Solid. All this just to unlock fast travel. Sheesh.
