My Lady Carey's Dompe
is een Engelse dansmelodie uit de Renaissance, hoogstwaarschijnlijk geschreven voor luit en klavecimbel in circa 1520 door een onbekende componist uit de tijd van Hendrik VIII van Engeland.
De Dompe bestaat uit een melodische lijn boven twee basnoten C en D die elkaar afwisselen.
Het kan zijn gecomponeerd zijn ter gelegenheid van de dood van William Carey, een hoveling en favoriet van Henry VIII, die stierf op 22 juni 1528.
Dompe, is waarschijnlijk afkomstig van het Ierse dump dat klaagzang betekent.
My Lady Carey's Dompe wordt soms toegeschreven aan Hugh Aston.

De Nederlandse auto-importeur Pon te Leusden sponsorde, behalve het koororgel, ook het positief dat eveneens werd vervaardigd door orgelbouwers Metzler & Söhne uit Zwitserland.
Het positief werd ontworpen door Bernhardt Edskes die ook het koororgel heeft getekend.
De luiken van het positief beschilderde Antonio Frasson (Luzern).

MY LADY CAREY'S DOMPE
My Lady Carey's Dompe is an English dance melody from the Renaissance, most likely written for lute and harpsichord in about 1520 by an unknown composer of the time of Henry VIII of England.
The Dompe consists of a melodic line above two alternating bass notes C and D.
My Lady Carey's Dompe is sometimes attributed to Hugh Aston.
It may have been written for the death of William Carey, a courtier and favorite of Henry VIII, who died on 22 June 1528, and in this case, Lady Carey may refer to his wife Mary Boleyn, one of the mistresses of Henry VIII and the sister of Henry's second wife, Anne Boleyn, but also to Carey’s mother, sisters and sister-in-law.
