I am a retired Flight Attendant after 40 years of service. I flew PHL to FCO for many years and loved it! I came across your videos by accident about a month ago. The first one I watched you walked right pass the Hotel I laid over at !!! Because of your video's I am able to sit at my computer with a glass of Italian wine and Anti Pasta . You have brought back so many wonderful memories of one of the Cities that is very special to me! I can also relate to how you record just you by yourself and see it from my point of view and not talk during the video. Thank you for your wonderful gift and see you again. Ciao my friend.......
Whoahhhh! So many people! We were there in November a couple years ago and it wasn't even a 1/10 of this. I guess people go when they can go. An amazing city though. Thanks for the walk. -H
I went to Rome for the first time right after Europe opened back up to American tourists in 2021. The city was empty. I felt like I had it all to myself. I didn't at the time realize how lucky I was. These crowds are awful
Why wouldn't Rome be crowded right now? After all, it's 'high peak' traveling season and Rome is always one of the most popular European destinations, no??
The crowds are because nearly everyone, sadly, goes to exactly the same places. Rome can accommodate more than a few thousand tourists, obviously, but not if they all stand at Trevi for half a day. If it doesn't stop, literally everything will soon require payment of an admission fee.
Only like this around the major attractions. We were there last year in May. You won't be disappointed, Rome is incredible! Go at the end of August it won't be this crowded.
I am a Roman citizen and world traveler, I am 55 years old. Every now and then I walk around the city and as usual I saw (especially in the area around St. Peter's Basilica) numerous unauthorized tour guides harassing tourists. They are easily recognisable, they have a fake authorization or faded identification card around their neck, they come from countries like India and Bangla Desh or from North Africa or Latin America but there are also some Italians, they offer tourist services. If I were a foreign tourist I would avoid listening to them. Plan your trip in advance and you will not need any unauthorized guide. If you need a tourist guide or generic tourist services, rely on official channels or someone who has at least an office and an address.
We were my wife and I in Rome second week of April 2024 the Fontana de Trevi it was crowded similar like this video well it was a wonderful experience this trip. Rome the eternal city
Purtroppo c'è troppa gente 😂. È un bene per i romani.dal punto di vista turistico ma è un male per i turisti che vorrebbero godersi meglio le attrazioni
Visit the Keats-Shelley House/Museum and Keats grave at the Campo Cestio. Maybe tour the whole cemetery as other people are buried there and it is a beautiful place.
Why are there so many locks on the posts? I never noticed. Do most of the shops along the way sell "made in Italy" products? Trevi Fountain is always crowded. Impossible to get down to the bottom. I had Nutella gellito there that was so good. I just stood back and watched the crowd. Thanks for an enjoyable video. I always see something new along the way. It's so fun.🥰❤️
Should rename the video with "Fontana di Trevi is crowded right now".... Which is always, because most of the tourists still visit Rome as they would visit Las Vegas... In 2024 they're still visiting the set of "Roman holiday" and not the city of Rome, neglecting the true gems.
How boring these insipid complaints are, compared to the magnificence of Rome... Wouldn't it be better to stay alone in your house, shuffling around between the bathroom, the TV, the fridge and the air conditioning...? It would also be a great alternative to mass tourism.

Ciao my friend.......
Thank you for this beautiful comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the walking tour video of Rome.
@@AmazingWalkingTour I imagine youtube/social media is sparking interest in certain spots and you see the huge crowds as a result
I was in rome 2weeks ago it was absolutely amazing can't wait to go over again weather was beautiful warm 🙏
Ridiculous i would never travel this time of year that crowded to see such beautiful architecture.

Beautiful video with great views of Rome and the tourists enjoying the scenery and sights. I will definitely return there soon! ❤
It looks like a dream world like a theme park! Great cityscape👍
Nice video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for doing this

Wonderful tour. Such a beautiful and vibrant city. Great to see the sights.
Those hagglers at the Patheon-.really drove me bananas...but still love Roma.❤
Beautiful Italy walk.so lively there

So glad we travel to Italy in November- weather was still good, crowds tolerable and prices for accommodations way better.
Rome seems to have a bigger crowd than Dhaka, Bangladesh.
la città più bella del mondo

Wow, it looks so crowded. I was planning to go at the end of August for my daughter's birthday but after this I'm really going to change my mind.😮
birthday in october---less insane

Rome is actually less crowded in the month of August.
August is sooooo very hot 🔥🔥 my son was there last August, some days 40 degrees!
I was just there...I saw more aggressive scammers at the top of the Spanish Steps than the rest of the city combined.
Ciao! As always SUPERB video 💚🤍❤️
What means cioa?
@mattygame7960 what do you mean..Matty !

We can’t wait to visit there early October!
You have chosen the best time to visit Rome. Pleasant climate and few tourists around.
We were there last October, and still quite alot of tourists in Rome. There is no more “shoulder season”.
very busy 💥
yuk..just watching how over crowded Rome is atm, is enough to put me off ever travelling there in Summer ..probably other times of year as well.
october was good last year...much less crazy
❤️ YOOOO! Nice video!!! I’m a Small Struggling Travel Channel and you really inspire me to make better content 😌 Thank you! 🙏🏻

Watch out for the Romanian pickpocketers

The locks you saw are "promises" of tourist couples in love, it's an old custom.
@@MilesNauticus thanks.
You would never get me there in the summer months
Nope and people are nuts to not do more research on how you can travel without the crowds. For so many it's all about sunshine when they travel.
Rome, ever since the pandemic, is always overcrowded. There is no longer a high season or low season.
Just got back from Rome. One and done for me.
How long were you there?
I'm sure you'll be sorely missed.
Stick to Disneyland
Maybe you and Ken didn't find there your favourite vodka brand.
is second week of September has less people?

I can see why Italy is trying to put a halt on tourism.
Get to Trevi Fountain before 5am for good photos. By 530-6am it will be packed already in peak season ;-) LOL
All those annoying tourists. Looks miserable.
Tourists are People, like you and me...
Not all of us can go to the grocery store by flying in a helicopter like you do.
The same as bali
I really don’t get how so many people spend sooooooo long at the Trevi fountain taking a stupid amount of photos.
Buen video, pero para que sea más interesante deberías incluir los nombres de las vías y no enfocar tanto a la gente.
Should we throw coins into the trevi fountain for good luck :)
Yes
Wassamatta you?
Roma d'estate. Grazie no
Do sta Toto? He wanted to sell the fountain for 500 milla lire, funny movie
😮😮insane
Wish they would do something about all the scammers, it’s ridiculous you spend half your time saying no Grazie, when you just want to say F off
I had some small notes saying " fuck off" in italian ' given to us by a taxi driver, probably because I gave him a decent tip,. It worked
Worst vacation of my life in Europe during the summer.

Worst of all there aren't any public toilets in rome. I'd like to see someone asking the tourists how they cope 😁
There are but not everywhere, the custom is to enter a bar, get a drink, the owner will be happy to let you use the toilet.

Jubilee year 2025 so it will get much worse!
