“I’m counting this as a victory for the Nazgûl, even tho there was not one in play in either of the games”, no you had the sweetest victory, you forced your opponent to thoughtseize a Nazgûl
MTGO Pet Peeve: Every time a Nazgûl ability was on the stack, MTGO freaked out and displayed weird Unicode glyphs instead of Nazgûl. This deck was sweet! Oddly competitive.
It really is!! That would have been so cool, like ridiculously cool flavour-wise. In some ways I’m fantasising about some obscure wraith card see sideboard play cos of the loophole
i can't put it into words how stoked i am to see whip of erebos in a deck teck, i've been working on a sidisi whip deck for pioneer since the format came out :)
@59:43 I believe Damping Sphere won't affect mana production under high tide because it's not the land producing more than one mana, it's the High Tide.
Hello ! Just a little comment to thank you for your content, it’s such a joy to hear you voice and watch your gameplay, you’re amazing Continues comme ça !
With such a large black component already, and with the ring/Call of the ring loots, won't Sheoldred, the Apocalypse be good? Given how often you were getting the tempt trigger it would have got you 10+ life just from extra draw in one game.
"surely there will be a creature worth reanimating in this graveyard" Wrong. theres a Nazgul and a whip of erebos and you are losing to this XD i laughed so hard XD
14:45 Could've played the nazgul, kept outcast as ring bearer, attacked with outcast, in response to ring trigger bounced outcast with karakas, discarded outcast and played the thoughtseize. Would've hurt, but that fiery con would've been gone
Three rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for mortal men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne; In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie. One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them; In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie.
At 57:49, you had lethal with Fatal Push your Bowmaster and Reanimate it post combat. They ended up having snap, but attacking first either gives you the win on the spot if they don't have snap, or you can back out of the line post combat if they have it.
I'm genuinely curious if this could be played to success in Modern. You lose reanimate and ancient tomb, but just about everything else is modern legal.
All I could think during deck tech is... Umm.... no Dark Rit???? Dude, I'm running the variations of turn 1 and 2 plays in this deck with x4 Dark Rit and... It seems to be WAY more efficient? I mean, the most obvious play is T1 Nozgul. But there's T1: Dark Rit, Thoughtseize, Troll cycle, reanimate. Outcast, Shadowspear, thoughtsieze Bowmaster Fatal push ETC ETC ETC there's SOOO many amazing opportunities granted to this deck by simply running Dark Rit. Idk bro think about it, lol cheers!!!
50:30, pretty tough to watch when you don't take natural order. Field artisan does nothing at this moment I guess while any mana dork, black mana etc. leads to quick natural order and you've a hand that can only race, except not racing a natural order face up. Right? Interested in your thinking process. Cool deck again, interesting build. Glad to see you've understood why and how multiple Nazgul at the same time are fire
noooo at 40:00 if you discard nazgul you can reanimate it and grow the whole board EDIT: well, because of thalia the reanimate costs 2 so that idea is kinda eh anyway.
You could also play Street wraith who … duh.. is also a wraith and add some chromoxen. Then you might be able to include Saga again and go a little deeper into the scam package.
Was Street Wraith a consideration? It's hard on your life total with Tomb and Reaninamte, but it is a 3/4 Swampwalk (with all thr black decks around pretty relevant) for B via Reanimate, that also grows from the Nazgul triggers. Great video ❤
31:25 wouldnt castign Nazgul here threaten lethal? The ring tempt trigger gives ur changeling and other nazgul +2/+2 each so you your swinging in for 4 + 6 + 1 + 3 (4th ring trigger)
@@BoshNRoll yeah for sure. I more so meant you’d be in a better position forcing them to block, because then the Nazgûl wouldn’t have died on their turn and you would have killed them a turn earlier. Either way doesn’t matter cuz u won :)
At 40:00 I was SCREAMING at the screen to discard the Nazgul and immediately reanimate it, until I remembered Thalia sucks and makes me sad. You could have had a MASSIVE squad lol Also, before you had the moment of clarity with the Nazgul stacking seconds before this, I was losing my mind whenever you had the opportunity to have multiple in play, you were missing billions of race damage passing them up turn after turn lol
I have a few points to make I notice when you and your cohost plan to prevent a creature from hitting play and don’t board in removal, it often doesn’t work. It may be worth assuming that a creature will sneak in and see if that improves your win% Second, sheoldred probably does the same thing as whip but better. Although whip is still a spicy inclusion and I’m always here for spice
Vs Reanimator, the idea is not that preventing them from ever getting a creature is a reliable plan, the idea is that removing a creature after it comes into play is ALSO an unreliable plan, for two reasons. Most of their creatures do terrible things immediately even if you have the removal in hand already. Plus, if you don't have mana open to cast immediately, they will often force you to discard your removal spell before you get back to your turn.
“I’m counting this as a victory for the Nazgûl, even tho there was not one in play in either of the games”, no you had the sweetest victory, you forced your opponent to thoughtseize a Nazgûl
It's like it attacked for free!
Therapist: Wraith-Bosh isn't real, he can't hurt you.

Always has been meme
The thumbnail is the creepiest thing this halloween😅
MTGO Pet Peeve: Every time a Nazgûl ability was on the stack, MTGO freaked out and displayed weird Unicode glyphs instead of Nazgûl.
This deck was sweet! Oddly competitive.
Just realized: it's such a flavor-fail that The One Ring doesn't give you "protection from everything except Wraiths."
It really is!! That would have been so cool, like ridiculously cool flavour-wise. In some ways I’m fantasising about some obscure wraith card see sideboard play cos of the loophole
@@ragingtempestus6566 Cycle and reanimate Street Wraith.
At 58:00 we could push our own Bowmaster and reanimate it for the last point
5:40 When you cast a nazgul on Arena they make that sound. It's a nice touch lol
i can't put it into words how stoked i am to see whip of erebos in a deck teck, i've been working on a sidisi whip deck for pioneer since the format came out :)
25:00 bowmastering someone's mother sounds like supreme BM
@59:43 I believe Damping Sphere won't affect mana production under high tide because it's not the land producing more than one mana, it's the High Tide.
It does have the tax component as well
I was sorta expecting a more chrome mox powered stompy deck when I saw this many 3 drops
Thought I was going to watch 5 minutes and ended up staying for the full league 😂👍 this was fun to watch
Love to hear it! One does not simply walk away from the Nazgûl…
@@BoshNRoll in all fairness I was waiting for you to sneak in the screech
Hell yea, love the video. It's my deck & I welcome any & all feedback. However. I'm keeping all 9 Nazgul.
Thanks again, Bosh n Roll!!!
I am very happy to see whip of erebos in a legacy deck. Never thought I’d see the day

Instead of the Whip, that is :)
Brian was so excited by the deck it was a pleasure to listen to him. Just before bedtime with my lovely half ❤

@27:00 Choosing the Orc token as ring bearer is also worse vs Karakas, since it has become legendary.

Yeah attacking first would have opened up that option.
My favorite thing about this deck is that playing the full nine nazgul is somehow correct.
I’d play 15 if I could. I need Sauron to make more rings.
The ring tempted you! You succssefully deleted their mother XD !
I can see some argument for Sheoldrid in the whip slot. she makes the call of the ring draws free (kinda)
"The screech tempts me"
Initiative Lord of the Rings.. somehow not the Legacy I remember
Singleton Whip is fine because of the Ancient Tomb.
This was a fun video!
saffronolive played 9gûl with collected company 👀
Round 3 u could have had a Naz buy reanimate on recruiter
I'm genuinely curious if this could be played to success in Modern. You lose reanimate and ancient tomb, but just about everything else is modern legal.
Try it and let me know!
Woah!! Actually legacy viable, that's sick

Wow, I'm impressed, and it's full of flavor.
This is exactly the kinda spice I subscribe for 😎😎😎
joy! and you did pretty well!
Description has a minor typo 😮 ("nin rings")
Fixed, thanks!
The whole video I’m wondering why you keep not going for double Nazgûl, then 40 minutes in you realize the triggers stack.
50:30, pretty tough to watch when you don't take natural order. (as always, I post my questions before seeing the actual 1 time result of the action in the video)
You missed the opportunity to say "do you ot know death when you see it?"
Cool deck. Couldn't whip just be Jitte?
Jitte and Shadowspear play harder into removal when I’m trying to mitigate it. Honestly I think the spear should be another whip.
As a Lord of the Rings fan, I was glad to be able to give this video it's 111 like. Eleventy first!
havent seen the games yet but I am 100% on board with Whip here lol
Nazy-G is not cringe, it is the new name for Nazgûl
39:55 in my eyes discarding nazgûl and reanimating it would be a pretty good line here. did you miss that or is there an argument against it?
They have Thalia in play.
Is Sheoldred unplayable in legacy? I’m kinda convinced that the whip should I have been a Sheoldred in this deck
noooo at 40:00 if you discard nazgul you can reanimate it and grow the whole board EDIT: well, because of thalia the reanimate costs 2 so that idea is kinda eh anyway.

in 9:20, couldn´t you use fatal push on the unlicensed hearse?
They have Chalice on 1
You had six mana with the stolen island. No reason to cycle the troll
Whip is fucking spicy, I love it

Yeah I considered it, there wasn't room for that package. Cycle for 2 life isn't that strong and I have better things to reanimate.
Sweet to see a deck with no RL cards. Might throw this together to hand to someone at fnm.
I love seeing modo and various websites eat shit trying to add the accents to Nazgûl and Lórien
This deck is really cool. Are the Nazgul too cute though? Wonder if this could be tightened up.
Black Stompy is a solid tier 2 legacy archetype with multiple different builds. It can certainly be tightened up if you’re not into Nazgûl’s
Why no dark rit?
Sweet deck
High tide? What year is it?
Obligatory algorithmic contribution
Nozzy G…approved! 😂
I watch you everyday during lunch break
Glad you’re here! Enjoy your lunch :)
Mfw playing lotr cards is the least toxic choice.
I understand wanting to live the Whip dream, but did you consider Sheoldred in that slot?
31:25 wouldnt castign Nazgul here threaten lethal? The ring tempt trigger gives ur changeling and other nazgul +2/+2 each so you your swinging in for 4 + 6 + 1 + 3 (4th ring trigger)
They can block the 6/7. Probably still good but they're not dead on board with a creature.
@@BoshNRoll yeah for sure. I more so meant you’d be in a better position forcing them to block, because then the Nazgûl wouldn’t have died on their turn and you would have killed them a turn earlier. Either way doesn’t matter cuz u won :)

The losses look worse when you're ice cold, but I believe I win more overall by having more actively good cards in my deck.

Hello!
Hello!
Having all 9 with different arts is a bad deck building strategy, but good for viewers I guess :)
It’s literally illegal to play the same art 😤
First!
I'd like to thank this who helped me get to this achievement today
Sir please stop moving your cards around I'm trying to thought seize
