- Today Gift and I head to Phuket to visit friends Michael and Sharon. While there, we visit Bang Tao Beach for our very first time, since visiting Phuket over the past 4 yrs. Phuket is also known as the most expensive Island in Thailand for tourist to visit.

Beautiful beach and not too crowded. Lovely house that your friends live in, but 77,000 baht a month is ridiculous! That is more than both my UK pensions added together! I guess that they are millionaires, so money is no object. Pleased to see that Michael drives an MG as indeed do I. Great cars, sadly no longer made in UK but made in Thailand, so no problem with parts etc. Servicing is also good. Enjoy your stay. God bless you and your friends Michael and Sharon.

Phuket is just expensive compared to the rest of Thailand. Never went there until the Phuket sandbox. Been back 5 times since the sandbox, to see some friends. Food is expensive and also the transportation. Next time I give Phuket a pass, go to Koh Chang for the island 🏝️ experience

We didn't find Phuket too bad on the cost, some restaurants were high but that was to be expected. We liked Krabi better for us, more peaceful , less people. We will be in Prachuap on Sunday for 2 nights. We plan on stopping at JJs burger on our drive up from Chumpon.

Their place is really nice, I also have never seen a shower like that would like to know how it was. Big messy room or not much..that first hotel nice and dirt cheap..thanks for sharing…
The shower in my opinion is a pain, it’s nice to look at but hard to use. Thats why we stay downstairs in the villa that has a normal shower instead of the master bedroom lol

Just because you pay more for your food doesn’t mean it’s better. I’m usually disappointed when I go to an expensive restaurant. There’s no reason to when you are in Thailand
Anywhere south of Pattaya is a rip off.

Perhaps reading the title and description would help. I think it says “Phuket Most Expensive Island In Thailand”. While there are places that are much cheaper to visit, Phuket is a very beautiful Island and very cheap in comparison to many other countries and islands. Have a nice day!
