ASDA, UK: Boost of distribution centre efficiency

ASDA is one of Britain’s leading retailers with over 180,000 colleagues serving 18 million customers. With over 550 stores selling more than 75,000 products including groceries, clothing, household goods and electronics, ASDA is constantly looking for ways to improve the use of space in its distribution centers.
Storage efficiency has allowed maximum utilization of space in the distribution centre and picking time has halved.
The whole system was implemented without disruption. ASDA can manage several thousand different product lines, while allowing for future expansion.
