      *2nd most clutch. (Tied with or just barely ahead of Murray.) Dame's more consistently reliable than Murray; and more heavily leaned on too. But doesn't reach quite the same peak when Murray's "on." Steph and KD'll have something to say in their older/wiser forms soon as well.
      #1 is Jokic tho. And he really has been for years. It's in the numbers. It's in the game-winners. He's just less noticeable, perhaps bc it's less from the 3pt line, among other reasons.
      And don't get it wrong, Dame IS clutch. And a joy to root for. Just imagine if those smaller market, Northwest Division teams got an even whistle. Were it to happen when they were healthy, all 3 of 'em'd knock out the Pacific teams this year.

    • @aidenfranchetto1079
      @aidenfranchetto1079 Pƙed 3 lety +36

      D Human bro dame is more clutch than jokic and murray, dame has lead the league in clutch points and EFG% in the clutch for the last 8yrs, there was an espn article about it, plus dame has legit won about 15 games for portland this year with game winning shots

      @CoyoteSwapEverything Pƙed 3 lety

      I agree

    • @dhuman9321
      @dhuman9321 Pƙed 3 lety +1

      @@aidenfranchetto1079 This regular season Dame has better Clutch numbers (Last 5 min, 5 point or less differential), yes. And they are incredible. Absolutely.
      And even those numbers don't take into account the huge comeback Dame had tonight, which some real measure of "Clutch" probably should. However, we should also note that Jokic has had those kind of bringing his team back games this year too. And has been the best player overall, statistically-speaking, this year. Which of course takes away some clutch opportunities/doesn't measure them fully either.
      Dame had 50 points on 20 FGA and 18 FTA tonight. That he hit 100% of those FTs is most impressive. That Jamal had a 50 point night on 25 FGA and 0 FTA is even more so.
      I'd love to test those 15 games you mention. I have no doubt it's a good number, but do doubt it's double-digits worth of game winners - I mean POR only has 23 wins. In terms of real game winning shots, of course I remember his series-clinching 3 over PG. Just don't forget all 6 of Jokic’s a year ago, 3 of which seemed to come one after the other.
      Just going by the heartless stats between only the 3 players I highlighted, if copied out & compared from nba . com / clutch-traditional, it's:
      2020-21 Reg Season: 1) Dame... 2) Jokic (yet best overall stats), 3) Murray
      2020 Post Season: 1) Murray (best overall too), 2) Jokic... 3) Dame (but hurt)
      2019-20 Reg Season: 1) Jokic, 2) Murray... 3) Dame (yet best overall stats)
      2019 Post Season: 1) Murray, 2) Dame... 3) Jokic (yet best overall stats)
      2018-19 Reg Season: 1) Jokic (best overall too), 2) Dame... 3) Murray
      I'm not trying to diminish anyone. It really isn't a competition. At least not til their teams face one-another like they did in the 2019 Post Season or a couple weeks back. I'm simply not joining the echo chamber of hype. He's great. So are a couple other guys that don't get their due. I'm glad he's getting his.

Dad gene way ahead of his time. Great humility and sincerity. Authenticity. About the perfect collection of traits for a leader. Best leader by far in the NBA, and best team-mate. And regarding his basketball, quite simply, the best player in the NBA. Absolute wizard.
