Oh My ! You have made my morning ! and the day as well ! This IS THE Rock ANTHEM of our days from the 90's when we witnessed the starting of the real heavy metal revolution of Bangla/ bengali lanuage/ lyrics. Yes Haris, you are right that this was also the starting of heavy metal journey of the subcontinent. This song always grips me with sheer nostalgia as we were Dhaka Univerity students that time and the band members of Warfaze, Rockstrata, In Dhaka & Aces were our batch mates/ friends and/ or friend's peers. We used to know them pretty well, especially Kamal (pronunciation Komol) , Babna & Tipu of Warfaze, Mainul, Imran, Shoaib, Mahbub of Rock Strata, Joy, Mashuk, Tushar, Gorky of In Dhaka. Prior to 1990 all of them were doing covers of english classic heavy metal bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Scorpions and also Thrash & Speed metal bands like Metallica, Helloween etc.
The turning point for Bangla heavy metal was the free + open air concert (2nd) arranged by BAMBA (Bangladesh Musical Band Association) at the Dhaka University registrar building ground on April 1992. This time, the senior musicians in management control of BAMBA, asked these young metal bloods to join the concert but with Bangla compositions ! All 3 of the major heavy metal bands (Aces was not there and pity ! we missed the performance of the phenomenal guitatist Fuad Rubbi ! ) hurriedly came up with 4-5 bangla compositions. The day came in 26th April morning and Warfaze started around before noon may be. 4 songs including this one changed the whole scenario and left the versity students in a more than awe-striken situation ! We the metal lovers were gone completely nuts, didn't attend any classes that day. Many high-school kids gathered on to the versity ground that morning to witness the free concert, probably their 1st open air concert in life. Altogether, that day left a permanent imprint on many kids' mind and we have seen the advent of many quality guitarists later on; many of whom you have been listinening to nowadays. After this concert, most of these guys left Dhaka for Minnessota USA for higher studies purpose but before that they all worked for their debut metal album which came out later on. Warfaze's album was a massive hit and they came to back to BD on December 3rd week and had couple of sold-out concerts. I had an opportunity to have jamming with Komol & Tushar (vocals + Bassist of In Dhaka) at a friend's Christamas party just couple of days before the 1st come back concert at Dhaka. Man ! Komol was flying that time with the the new Carvin guitars !
Some of our old time friends with whom we used to have music adda (chito- chat) and jamming are no more in this world and playing this song, the original version with Sunjoy's vocal, was a must in the addas. At this turning of middle age (53), this song always reminds me of those golden days of our university life. Thanks a lot my brothers ! You have made my day ! I was long awaiting for you two to react to this number !

Warfaze has been like a blessing for all of us Bangladeshi. It gave us the most iconic guitar player of the country - Ibrahim Ahmed Kamal aka Guitarman. It also gave us Russel Ali (who only featured in first two albums and gave the iconic intro (Guitar & Keys) of Aubak Bhalobasha original record. Also he is one of the iconic international guitar player who played in Limpbizkit & other notable international artists). It also gave us the best rock vocals of the country - Sunjoy! He left the band after the album Aushamajik back in late 90s but he created he dynasty with his amazing vocal works. The band also gave us Mizan (featured in the albums Alo, Poth Chola, Shotto) who is also another amazing talent of the industry. This band also gave us the most iconic & brilliant composer of the country - Babna Karim (Composer & writter of most of the iconic songs of Warfaze). Also the band featured other renowned musicians of the industry Bassbaba Sumon (Founder, vocalist & Bassist of Aurthohin), Iqbal Asif Jewel (Guitarist of Miles). Also apart from Kamal Bhai, two other mentionable guitar players whom played in the band are Oni Hassan (Currently a solo musician based in China but also played as lead guitiarist of Vibe). He played in most of the tracks of Poth chola & Shotto. also composed two of the popular tracks - Purnota & Na. Another one is who currently playing in the band is Samir Hafiz. He is regarded as one of the finest guitarist of the country (Check out his solo tracks at CZcams and he also plays in Powersurge, Avoidrafa, Shrapnel Method & Severe Dementia),
So Warfaze in a form is like a hall of fame of musicians of Bangladesh Band Music industry.

Bangladeshi rock is as old as the genre itself. We had an instrumental rock band back in 1964 called windy side of care. They released instrumentals which you can find on CZcams. Then there was famous rock bands like souls and feedback who emerged in the scene in the early '70s.

Yes, we had always been blessed with amazing bands in Bangladesh making amazing songs in Bangla, specially in the 90's. Warfaze is special even among them. It's been a blessing to have been able to grow up with their music since the beginning. I personally consider this as one of the biggest blessings of my life that out of all the places in the world, I was there in Bangladesh when Warfaze started their journey and I had their music as a part of my life all along ever since. What a gift! Since I saw you guys make a review of 'Purnota', I was wondering if you would check out their initial songs, which broke the scene that time, like this one from the first album. The beauty of Warfaze is, all their songs are unique and yet, they all have the Warfaze idenity. This is a great version sung by Mizan, but I wished you'd listen to the version by Sunjoy. It was so amazing to have that standard of music created in Bangla in Bangladesh that time in the early 90's. Warfaze always made sure their music had a domestic audience. The ones who listened to them then, are still listening to them now, even commenting on the reaction videos of their songs. 😊 #WarfazeForever

Now think about us guitar-freaks standing 50 feets from Komol and watching him playing this licks for the 1st time at that BAMBA live concert 29th April 1992 !! @Haris & @Hammad I would say, during the late 80's we (the school & college students mainly) were into heavy metal music and were religiouly listening to the British, German and American classic heavy metal bands from the 70's & 80's. However, until that 2nd BAMBA open air concert nobody in Bangladesh could think about writing & composing a heavy metal tune in Bangla language. What Warfaze & In Dhaka did were quite a shock for the audience at the University ground that day but what Rock Strata did was more than shocking ! They came up with the first ever Thrash & speed metal numbers in Bangla inspired by Helloween & Metallica as they used to cover Metallica & Helloween songs in their concerts. They were the first rock/ metal in BD who used a double-bass drum in thier concert. Rock Strata's album was as such difficult to fathom for young guys that time. Eventually their music was picked up during the early 2000 onwards by the new generation metal lovers.

Regarding the musical instruments and gazzets you are talking about, all I can say that, during the late 80's and early 90's we haven't seen that much of high quality guitars and effect processors. Komol and others used to play Aria Pro guitars and few had Fender Strats Japanese/ Mexican versions. Very basic level distortions & other effects were available in the market. Same tihngs about PA systems and Amps. Recording studios were also poorly equipped with 16-track mastering console and low quality recording trasfering machines. This was particularly applicable for Sargam studio where all of these guys had to do their recordings. Sargam did a pretty bad job in trasfering the recording on to the audio cassettes. This recording is of much later date with better gears and sound processors.

Start with their "Danob" album, which is IMO the most technically overwhelming metal album in Bangladesh thus far. You haven't heard anything like that album from any band from the sub continent I promise. This superb band burst in the scene in the '90s emerging from the inheritance of the then already decades old tradition of band music in Bangladesh which started back in the '60s (when Bangladesh was known as East Bengal/East Pakistan) --- as is already pointed out by Jahid Hasan in his comment (see below). In this context, you may find it interesting to know of an interview* of the Daily Star (Dhaka) with two of these pioneers of the '60s --- Rafique Mazhar Islam aka Sajju, the rhythm guitarist, and the manager Rafi Omar --- of the celebrated band the ''Windy Side of Care''.
Incidentally, you would also get here a hint of how they once procured Pearl drums and Fender guitars at USD 720 (so you may yourself decide now if they were Rupee rich or not). They once went to Karachi to take out a 45 RPM EMI record, and were invited for a performance and interview at the Karachi TV. (So, perhaps in the archives of both institutions one might find them preserved.) They mention of other contemporary bands of Bangladesh, like, the Lightning (from Chittagong), Rambling Stones+, Insex Dui, etc. They also mention of another contemporary band called the Bugs that I suspect could be a pioneer of band music in Pakistan (then West Pakistan).
+They were contemporaries of the Rolling Stones, Cliff Richards, Beatles, Tom Jones, etc. and would do them in their jam sessions.

    It is the remake version...
The original version was also good if you consider the time period it was released...
But, thank God they decided to remake it and they did everything they couldn't do due to the technological limitations of that time...
Previously it was a great song, then after the remake it became a song for the ages..
