So I recently had box braids and they were great the only issue was taking them down. I kept them for 3 weeks but the edge control formed build up at my roots and my shampoo wouldn't take it out so I had to comb it out and A LOT of my hair came out with it. Any suggestions on how to deal with that, does that happen to you?
I try not to use to much edge control everyday to avoid build up, and shedding will come with this protective hairstyle because you shed 100 hairs a day.
How to do see the rest of your head? I'm having struggles braiding the back of my head...

Did you try to start with the back first??? I would've started my braids from the back, worked my way around to the sides, then the front and finished with the top. That's how I do my micros and box braids.

Dags thank you : ) I might braid my own hair for the first time soon. Some ppl take 6 hrs to braid their entire head, some 12-13 hrs. I'm new to this I was just wondering : )
