  • Blows every other B9 I've had out of the water. This thing seemingly revs no matter what you do to it, and when you're faced with a wide open road and a heavy footed driver the result is something special indeed.
    Topodyn engaged at: 0:00, 0:49, 1:17, 3:05, 3:44, and 5:13.
    This bus was serving route X22 from Lowestoft to Norwich.
    Operator: First Eastern Counties
    Fleetnumber: 37579
    Registration: AU58EDK
    Chassis: Volvo B9TL
    Body: Wright Eclipse Gemini
    Gearbox: ZF Ecolife 6-speed w/ Topodyn software

    Bloody hell those are amazing pull offs! Topodyn makes all the difference in the world, equally applicable to the E40Ds!
    Like the others say, if only all B9TLs were like this!

    Thrash-tastic indeed. Shame the E400 MMC wasn't built on the B9TL chassis as we could have a decent bus then.
    Great video.

      Scania MMCs seem very decent. Unfortunately the ones I've ridden haven't been on very fast routes so I haven't seen their full potential.
      Thanks a lot.

      I think Stagecoach Huntingdon has one for their guided busway that might be worth a look.

      I mean b5tl is the euro 6 version of b9tl and we have mmcs with the chassis so...

    If only they were all like this.

    What's funny though is (all those times I speed-walk past all these fancy humans in suits in Central London, who can't walk very fast at all, while pretending to sound like a VolvoB9TL), this is roughly what it sounds like.

      I used to do stuff like that in primary skl 😂😂

    Due to move to Norwich next week with a few others to replace B7L’s. So far 37574 has already moved.

    I can barely hear the difference between euro 4 and 5 b9tl but I'm starting to hear the bass difference abit more now and obv euro 4 b9tl cooling fan is way better then euro 5z sad thing is, in london we only have sulivans euro 4 b9tls and go ahead Londons ves that are euro 4 b9tl

    Why cant all B9TLs be like this!

      Life would be much more exciting if that was the case. That said quite a few of the 58reg Norfolk B9s are like this - this is just the only one I got.

      Singapore used to have b9tls like this but after 2 years operation, those with the 6 speed zf ecolife ones got to restrict their gear by the authority, making it to be so weak in the acceleration

    • @gloriouswater538
      @gloriouswater538  Před 6 lety

      I've seen a video of a Singapore B9 being thrashed actually. They did sound good, it's a shame they restricted them.

    • @alulululubin5041
      @alulululubin5041 Před 6 lety

      GloriousWater the authority did that just to save petrol and accident due to that wholesome horsepower

    Then came the Euro 5 B9s which honestly make me lose the will to live

      Currently on a 61reg that's just as bad as your ex Leeds 12reg. It feels bad lol

      @NC-002 Před 5 lety

      GloriousWater Theyre basically the same, though our ex Leeds 12s are suffering shit maintenance so we’re not exactly lucky

      Ex Leeds 12 reg B9TLs are not a great example to base your impressions of Euro 5 ones from! Those are terrible - there are great batches at Brighton & Hove, Go North East and I think Transdev to name a few, most of them are BF63
      I also quite like the former First Berkshire BF63s too but they’re not as good as your AU58s of course. I hope I can restore your faith in Euro 5 B9s one day
