here’s a tip, might sound like bullshit but the F-89 is like a jet cow and it’s rockets work only at the distance where they explode. Just don’t head on and be careful cuz he’s faster than you but has only very specific combat capabilities
True, when I finally unlocked the Me 262 I was so happy. Then I realised I was constantly getting clubbed by American Jets.
I'm grinding the Narwal now and then I'm going for the Horten in the hopes that that will be better.

the horten does a helluva lot better than the 262. You just have to get used to it’s flight style and the fact that the wings are made out of literal wood so don’t get hit

The p47 is one of my favourite planes thanks to the good armament and the fact that it actualy needs skill to play
Play the P-59A. Remember to get the japanese user skin for it, it's mandatory.
As much as I love the stealth belts for the element of surprise, I find the tracers to be far more effective at concentrating your 50 cals and taking out an enemy quickly
Learn stealth. They're heads and shoulders above, and if you miss the first burst the enemy doesn't know where you're firing so is less likely to juke away from your fire zone. Trust they fire the same, and to work on sighting, shoot at water to see where your spread and patterns are; on test drive.
You should do the F1 and dude you literally take up so much time out of my day you make great vids keep it up!

@@Hi_Flyers I don't think that that's how the spotting system actually works. You can see targets up to 8 km away that are directly visible to you, or have been spotted by your allies.
Meanwhile the little radar thingy in the top right corner spots everything within 800 meters.
So if you spot a target, but stop looking at it, it will then dissappear.
Bro, I love it when random people work together perfectly without comms. The other day, I see this friendly 109 getting chased by a spit, a p51, and a 109 B1. And I think "IM not gonna be that team mate who leaves his friendlies to die" So I go over there, kill the p51 since it was fresh. I end up pilot sniping the b1 after a good dogfight with it. Then the friendly baits the spit, and I end up taking it down. For the rest of the game, us 109's stuck together, him baiting, me shooting down. If you see this, mad props to you!

not only the airspawn but 50cals at that time were also unreal. Was a blast for a while but we all knew it was unbalanced lmao
some of the p47's like this one could probably be fine with an airspawn now. 50 cals were nerfed since then and they lowered the game timer to 25 minutes. the d25 and n models climb so slow that they their teams have either died or killed the other team before you can reach an altitude where it can actually perform. the d28 and m models definitely don't need an airspawn lol.
For me personally, any P-47 is ultimate stress relief. Loading out the cancer tracer belts, the 50s really seem to work. Simple rule that usually works is get higher than anything else flying, and stay that way. Loved the video, keep up the great work Spit!

It's made of mostly aluminium alloys, but yeah, they shouldn't be able to put fires out so frequently

The P-47E never actually existed as far as I can tell. The razorbacks in-game are earlier production blocks, the bubble canopy was introduced on the D-25 which we have in-game. The current German P-47 is a P-47D-10, which has an older propeller with thin blades that's less efficient and potentially a slightly weaker engine, which is why it's at 4.0.
Great video by the way, never seen someone play the P-47 so aggressively. I usually stay above 15,000 feet the whole game and dive on allies near me in trouble, then use the speed I've built up to gain all my altitude back (the D-28 does that very well because of the crazy boosted engine). Recently I've been playing the N, which has the larger wings that make it almost able to turnfight, that one's fun to get more aggressive in. Would recommend it a lot honestly.

I bought the German P47-E the day it released to finally grind up some planes (I usually only played tanks before this). I loved the plane so much that I bought THIS one as well. I'm glad I bought it just before it was removed. Nice video.

Let me introduce you to the A-7D i very often get set on fire and it tooks out my controlls literally fire are a death sentence only the odd occasion where it gets out but that more the exception than the rule.
As for Ground RB
This plane,in a German lineup does not carry bombs.
The original P47 has a crapload of bombs and rockets.
And the advantage is that if you can drop them in one swoop, you can head for the airfield quickly
Been watching for a long ass time since like before 10k or something and I’ve always wondered why you aren’t more prominent in the community. Really happy you’re getting more well deserved recognition and hope it continues. You’ve certainly helped my gameplay and overall game philosophy.
The P-47E was an experimental derivative of the P-47B. The P-47D was built in both razorback and bubbletop versions, and the Luftwaffe did use the early P-47D.

I tend to play all the american props sideclimb hard to reach 5000m or 6000m and start engagements from there. If you are lucky, you can catch up Me264s and even if not, you can pretty much do everything out on your own. So i get almost 4 kill per match out of P-51D-20-NA or Stalinbolt

P-47 isn’t the most maneuverable but it’s good enough to work in a sticky situation. You’re not totally screwed with someone on your 6 like heavy fighters

I saw that Ki-61 when he was 2km away and closing fast. its not the spotting system, you just were a little bit tunnelvisioned on that B-25 and the A6M
i like your videos. Except for when you blame the spotting system. Hit C or freelook and use your MK1 eyeball, if someone managed to jump you, so is life :-)
Evidently, you haven't had enough experience in the game. Using your mk1 eyeballs are important to avoid getting jumped or ambushed yes. However the spotting system is extremely flawed. A perfect example and most commonly seen happen is in ground forces where the enemy can sit in an open field unhidden 500meters away and just because your crew skills aren't up to par you can sit across from him in that field 499 meters away and not see anything as though he doesn't exist because your crew skill can only detect enemies up to 499 meters. Advance one meter and he will magically pop into existence. I have lost track of how many times I've been holding an angle and checking behind me constantly only to be shot by an enemy tank sitting in the open field behind me who magically popped into existence In the middle of the field as my crew simply could not detect him driving into the field at range thus the game doesn't bother rendering him.
This also applies to enemies who are within your detection radius but line of sight is broken. And enemy tank is around the corner but if your skill is so shitty you straight up cannot see him if you look around the corner with the camera because line of sight is broken. This applies to planes as well where your "Line of sight" is essentially what your pilot can see in front of him. If you get ambushed from the rear, below etc the game won't bother rendering the enemy till they fire or enter the minimum detection radius and are hard coded to finally show up.
@@bluiechen Wait what?! In my experience i can see planes from 10km away as little dots. I have spent most my time in WT Sim Battles. Mostly because i am really bad in Arcade flying. I thought the "Spotting System" means that you get this coloured box around the enemy, if that is not the case, i'll eat my own words. I'd expect all planes to be visible at all the time to me. Just not highlighted and it's up to me to either see them or not. Maybe they have done that as an anti cheating measure, that they only send you position info about things you "Should" see? Regardless, thats a dumb move if that is the case. Thanks for clearing that up.

@F4E Phantom II I do have Mach I jets. I just don't like the spotting thing in general. I mean, having boxes around planes for IFF is OK. But i think that you should use your eyes regardless. If you look around, you might see the Jet before he hits you. If not, you're dead. Thats how it is. This is how ppl fought before there were things like RWR, In WW2 they came out of the sun where you couldn't see them. When i fly, i usually fly with a friend and we watch out for each others back.
But as you mentioned, its more of a topic regarding what you want. I am more of a sim pilot. I enjoy flying in other games (DCS, IL2 BoX) that are more of a simulator. And i think in this case it is OK that we disagree.
I will usually commit into headons when I know that I basically have only one chance to kill a guy. These planes are almost always not armed not well, which is a plus for me. I once had a 6 kill match in the D-25 Thunderbolt wherein both teams stayed really low and close to the deck. So after my first dogfight, against a J-21, most of my team was death. So I start boom and zooming the enemy team, but then a Spitfire appears at a reasonably close energy state. We go headon, I seriously damage his engine after which I can kill him and the rest of that team, who were returning to their base. Bad luck when I take 30 minutes of fuel and have 3400 rounds of 50 cals.
Got the Me262 A1/u1, and as the fact I have never really played planes that much I'm having my arse kicked. Now to get to the point, I think it would be cool to do a video on it, and hopefully I do a bit better. I really enjoy your videos and I look forward to them every time I see a new one in my notifications.
I have fond memories of using the P-47D to grind the FJ-4B VMF-232 a few years ago.
It's kinda neat to see that I now have a rarish plane.
I remember climbing with my lil bf109s while those things destroyed most of the enemy spits(mostly because of the airspawn). I ended up specializing in hunting attackers, it's a high risk high reward strat that give me 2 kills(and usually the match) or a free pass for hangar at the start of the game.

d25 and the n model could really use an airspawn, they don't have the climb rate that the d28 or m models have that caused them to be op with an airspawn. games are usually already decided by the time they can reach a useful altitude as they are now, meaning that they are usually of little use to their team in most games when flown correctly.

This plane was really good to grind during the WINTER research reduction, replenished my SL as well. But I'm too lazy to climb to 5k and have only 1 kill per game, I prefer to play it like you just showed, and it works good when the team is not atrocious. Made a really nice reversal on a P38 last time.
I get very lucky often in this aircraft.
Mostly because I am always reckless and angry when I play.
Not out of frustration from gaming but simply by choice because I noticed that I definitely play better when I am angry beyond belief.
Remember when you could fly certain planes with no wing tips or wings at all. The good days of war thunder
Yup yesterday I was flying the soviet p47 and a p51 knocked off my wing tip. It booted me out but I could still have flown the plane!

The bubble canopy is a game changer in Simulator Battles, where it is far superior to it's replacement. I'm glad I bought the D model back in the day =P
Don't use that thing in simulator mode. It is a great way to get team killed.

If you already have the old German P-47D, stick to it because it’s a little faster than the German Razorback. Can confirm in Test Flight.
As someone who plays U.S.A. more than anything and from what I've found out is that Ground Target belts are the best for everything.
@Mason Murchison Dude ground target belts are waaaaaaaay better then tracers. 1 burst and you blow the enemy away. you should try ground target belts.
@Mason Murchison i would only use tracers with A-26C-30 and F-82E
I find that aiming 50cal becomes counterintuitive after playing with lower velocity cannons for a while. At the ranges you were having trouble, it's basically hitscan. Point and click, and aim with one wing to get over the convergence.

Lots of ww2 aircraft were equipped with fire bottles, and if you cut fuel to an aircraft engine fire by chopping mixture, cutting fuel etc, you have a shred of hope it could go out, I thought fires before were unrealistic, I feel now they are more realistic, but that's me.
probably the B-25 pilot put his thrust at 0% and turned his engine off, that's also how I extinguish my bombers

I love Ol' Chubby as my squad calls it. Really nice for catching American P-47 pilots off gaurd.
The group I fly with, we have a friend who uses the P47 to seal club with. We are constantly berating him and mocking him for seal clubbing in that plane. It use to be, we could all put fires out, shut the engine off and go into a dive. Other planes had self sealing fuel tanks and a fire extinguisher. Sadly, Gaijin bowing to all the snivelers complaining about fires going out, Gaijin broke from reality to favour the snivelers. It appears that Gaijin has gone back to reality again, and I can now put out the fire by either going into a dive or shutting the engine off - or both. So accept the fact that fires can be put out, it is reality.

When I flew the p47d I started using tracer belts and almost every time I get a fire... Awesome plane. Still remember the time it was introduced for I think 500 GE and people started calling it "cancerbolt"

I’ve been flying the f-86 for a while now and I noticed that I get a uptiered or even full uptiered pretty much every game. So almost every game while I try to rush I either get run down, or get f$&$ed by a missile.

What I've noticed with the fires is, before the big graphics update that made the fire effects nice and pretty, it was nearly impossible to put one out. Since that update, though, it's the complete opposite.
I haven’t played in years, but I remember grinding Americans and every game I played against Germans I would be facing at least 4 P-47D’s. If I remember right they got an air spawn too

Also, I see a lot of people trying to RAM my HE-111. They get gunned down fast. I can control my gunners and not go down, you, however, CAN’T.
You don't need luck. Just a bit of experience , it's ment to be used to bully everything in events and get away with 3:1 ratio due to head-ons. I might be wrong, i only killed 1450 hoomans with it, while grabbing extra 2766 ground targets to go.
