  • Do I dare choose my favourite fountain pen?! Have I actually chosen?
    Hope you enjoy this journal with me at the Toronto Public Library. I’ve never journaled inside a library but this one had a great view and set up.
    I love my current carry kit for my journal. I try to bring this with me everywhere because you never know when you will get inspiration to journal!

      You won't regret it, the nib is nice. The black one is on my list. They should make more colours but so far they haven't.

    The E95 was my first gold nib as well and it’s still my absolute favorite to write with. Great nib and super consistent writer. It’s so smooth!!!

      Exactly how I feel too, what's surprising is also the price point..very reasonable for what you get.

    Yes! Another Pilot Elite lover :-) Absolutely agree with you, my Elite burgundy medium is my favorite fountain pen. It writes so smooth, a little bouncy so i can write for hours without hand fatique. The medium is a western medium line width. The extra fine is an extra fine and the fine is indeed a true fine. And yes i love this pen so much that i have all three sizes. How could i not, when the price is the same as a twsbi mini. Highly, highly recommend this pen. It writes more comfortable than my custom 823.

    • @toxmot

      Wow, that's great, hopefully I can get my hands on the black version in the future. I love Fine, so I'll probably get the same nib again. I am just so in love with the pen. Maybe I'll try a medium too 😅 I wish they would come out with more colours. But maybe they don't so it remains so classic 🤷🏻‍♀️

    You’ve inspired me to ink up my E95S again. Besides this ink (which I don’t have), what other inks do you like to use with your E95S?

    I have the same exact pen and I can confirm your praises of it. 100% agree with everything you said. I purchased it this year, also in the dark red/ivory gold. It is an excellent writer and I love the sleek look of the recessed nib. What ink do you have in yours? It’s lovely. Thanks for the video.

    • @toxmot

      It's a full length pen when capped so no worries about it being too short (unlike Kawecos).

    Would you say the Pilot e95s F nib is like a German fine? I have a Pilot Vanishing Point in fine but would like a slightly thicker line than that.

    • @toxmot
      @toxmot  Před rokem +3

      The fine nib runs like a western fine. It's not a traditional Japanese nib where the fine is like an extra fine western nib. Thx for watching!

    Is this still your favorite to write with? I'm falling down the rabbit hole and bought a few. A little worried they all will not receive the attention they deserve. I really want the E95S, maybe it will be my last fountain pen, cross fingers. Have you seen the Schon Monac (titanium nib)

    • @toxmot
      @toxmot  Před měsícem +1

      I love e95s.. it's my top fav. Also my first gold nib. The look and feel is very vintage. The writing experience with the pilot nib is fantastic. The only thing is don't let your finger slide down to the top of the inlaid nib or you'll get ink on your finger. Once I was aware of that it wasn't an issue. I haven't looked into the schon pens much. Will check it out.

      @@toxmot I bought an extra fine and it is really thin. I think the fine will work better for journaling. It is so light and thin to hold, and it posts really good.
