In the second installment of National Geographic’s “Into Water” 360 series, dive into the crystal clear waters of Indonesia with marine social ecologist and National Geographic Explorer Shannon Switzer Swanson. More than a quarter of the world’s aquarium fish population comes from Indonesia. Shannon works with local communities, documenting fishing practices. She is hoping to learn why some fishing families have developed sustainable practices while others have not. “Into Water: Indonesia” is the second stop on an around the world 360 tour that documents the work of female Explorers who’ve dedicated their careers to water related issues.

I have been to quite a couple of countries in SEA, but never yet in Indonesia. Hopefully, one day, I'll get to travel there.
Besides the scenic sights, I want to experience its culture esp. since we count Indonesians as one of our forbears.

Uhhh when u travel to SEA region, Indonesia is the top country to visit. I'm not biased. It is a "must to visit" country in SEA.
Indonesia's biodiversity ranked at second or third place. In the world.
And talk about diversity, the other diversity is also there. Religion diversity, race, culture, language, long history.
Soo it's a waste if you travel in SEA but just visit Singapore or Thailand. Indonesia is number one priority

go to there site there are job description also u can travel with the explorer but i haven't seen a job vacancy for explorer but it seems once u get into job u can change field it seems
