    The reason why these new Ex Harley Benton guitars are so unbalanced when playing standing up, it's the strap button placement. The strap button should have been placed on the back of the neck joint.

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  Před 4 lety +4

      You’re right, overall the guitar is pretty well balanced. Now to be fair, playing standing with these guitars is no problem since you forearm lies on the body. It also depends upon the strap you use :)

  • @syntheticsleep
    @syntheticsleep Před 2 lety +3

    Just got the Ex-76 a couple days ago, and so far I love it. Haven't really played guitar in almost 20 years, so I was delighted to come across HB stuff as even Epiphone has pretty much priced themselves out of my range at least for jumping back in.
    No complaints about the guitar itself, but I will probably slap in some EMGs or something in the near future since these Roswells aren't really crunching up to my taste. Aside from that, it's a fantastic guitar and I'll probably grab an Amarok 6 shortly if they can keep them in stock. And maybe even the Ex with the EMGs stock.

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  Před rokem +1

      These EX 76 and EX 84 are definitely amazing for the price. The only thing that I don't like that much is the shape of the neck, thicker than what I'm used to. But if you like this neck, those axes are a great deal. The amarok is a bit different and the neck is a bit thinner eventhough I think they should make it 1mm thinner. I'm waiting for the Amarok EX to come back in stock and I'll grab one to make a video on the chan.

    • @syntheticsleep

      @@ToroKchannel I haven't played enough guitar, and enough guitars to really have a specific neck preference. The electric I used to have and my bass are both Epiphones with pretty friggin thick necks though, so this feels fine. I'm excited to be getting back into music though, and your channel has been a great help. The way you present things is very easy to understand and makes sense to someone who's not really experienced with the technical side of the instruments. Greatly appreciated 🤘🔥🤘

  • @LeMonsieurPoulet
    @LeMonsieurPoulet Před 4 lety +4

    Great comparaison vidoe. I have the Classic one, the pickups are amazing for my 60s/70s rock tones so it really depends on what you want to do with the guitar.
    The only real drawback on this one is the bit of neck dive when standing up, it's not too much but it's here. I tried sticking the strap on the back on the neck joint and it fixed it so I might move the strap button here at one point.

      Ive just come from ToroK's EX-84 video and i was about to comment the very same thing.
      I've never been a huge fan of active pickups in general but then again i dont really play anything that requires super high-gain but the pickups on the EX-76 classic sound so very very good and better than the roswell actives.
      I would be more than happy to gig and record with a stock Ex-76 as is.

I play some metal sometimes, Metallica, Black Veil Brides, but not alot. They maybe a silly question, but which one would you recommend, for Classic Rock. Thank you for posting this. Stay safe out there.

    I like the 76 , i don t see any extra value with active pups , i also like the fact that they are smaller than the original ex (you can find also smaller models from other big brands than gibson. My only problem : do they have this big frets ? I am used to thin / low frets where you can touch the neck with your finger without bending the string and most modern guitars don t work that way.

      The EX-76 will not sound really good for metal, no matter what amd or pedal you will chose because the pickups don't have a good note definition. I don't some EMG 81/85 would sound like on some Bon Jovi tracks, but when you wanna play some Slash leads, better have a pretty fat tone on the neck pickup. I think the EMG 85 would do the job wth an OD like the Mooer Green Mile in "Hot" position. Now, I think the one that would really match is the Amarok EX that's currently out of stock. It comes with EMG Hot 70 that are a great mix between active and passive. Of course you could get the EX-84 EMG and change the pickups but it wil cost you more money.

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  Před rokem +1

      So we're gonna talk about the SC series and the EX series. First thing to know : the neck shape on the EX series is much thicker than on the SC. EX = 23 to 25 mm, SC = 20.5 - 22.5. If you're ok with a thicker neck, the EX are very good guitars ! I would recommend the EX-84 modern with EMG pickups. And as far as the SC are concerned, well I think I've said it all in a previous answer :)

    La Harley benton ex76 cómo será en comparación con una Jackson king v js32?, será mejor en calidad?

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  Před 5 měsíci

      I think the quality is better on this EX-76 indeed. I have reviewed a jackson JS 22 (same quality as the JS 32, the difference lies in the shape of the neck cos' the 32 has an interesting compound radius) and you can really sense that everything is rerally cheap. The EX-76 and EX-84 feel more solid, with good quality hardware but the pickups on the Jackson are really great for metal. On the EX-76, the pickups are more versatile and have less output.
