That's what I love most about SPTV. There is so much diversity among the creators. I have learned so much from hearing different perspectives from different people.
Hearing Nora and Natalie go thru this list breaks my heart, currently my 18 year son is involved with his girlfriend and her mom and so many of these point and demonstrate the toxic cult relationship he is involved in 😢

Your stories about the adjustment to real world situations really show how this indoctrination is so insidious! You have both been affected on a cellular level. I'm deeply impressed by your strength.

Those that have suffered trauma of any kind, whether violence, cult control, whatever need to be allowed to decide when, what and if they do something about it. They didn’t have a choice in being traumatized. It’s their choice what they do about it. Everyone’s situation and personality for dealing with traumas are different. I would hope that would be a basic premise of any group wanting to help trauma survivors.
Scientology is all about strategies in order for the individual to not trust their inner voice. It teaches a loss of self which can only result in fear. Looking at the strategies of how that's created is so deliberate and conscious. Healing from that is a long Winding Road but your true self can never be lost. It's just a matter of discerning again and paying attention to what feels like the truth. A good therapist can really help with that so you can learn to trust yourself again
Hi! I'm watching the replay with OhNoNora. You just got to the Empathy Paradigm Therapy section. I feel, & hope I have a comment you'll be sensitive & understanding about. Please consider trigger warnings when SA is a topic or spoken of at length. I'm a survivor of multiple accounts and still in therapy. I began watching Daniel from Salems discussion w/ LA 💩 bel owner. It was very triggering for me to watch/listen to her deny deny deny. It has been a quite unpleasant day since. I'm not blaming! But I switched to watch it on your suggestion. Then, today we have a topic that emphasizes, imho, similarities of cult trauma & domestic violence. Even Nora was physically effected during the presentation. Maybe only for a short time... I'm not asking you not to do these topics. They are important. I'm also glad I have a therapy appointment soon! 😌

In the study of dysfunction & dysfunctional family units (which include cults and high control/Abusive groups), learning that cussing is considered “verbal violence” woke me up to my own suppressed anger from childhood trauma. The more I healed, the less I used salty words, but, TBH, The “F” word still is a fav, when needed 😏 - progress, not perfection. 🙏🤍
It's my fave verbal "bomb", too. 😅
