Spain is one of the most beautiful places on God's earth - from the aqua blue Mediterranean Sea Shore to the Pyranees Mountains...the terrain varies, the influence of ancient latin mixed with the Morro architecture...there is no other place like it. @@relaxwkay You are quite welcome Kay. I agree 200% with your opinion of Spain. Many years ago I was stationed at an air base in northern Italy (Aviano) not far from Venice and enjoyed the stunning landscape of the Alps and all of the beauty of that incredible part of the world it had to offer. I soon traveled to our sister air base (Torrejone) near Madrid and throughout Europe (north, south and west). If I could pack up and move back to southern Europe I would start today but it would be a hard choice regarding Spain, Portugal, Italy or France. All are beautiful (the cultures, languages, mountains, cuisine, art, history, architecture, friendly people, the laid back style and most definitely the music). I believe Spain would win out though for a place to permanently settle. The climate really suited me and I have always enjoyed having the choice of being at the beach part of the day and later up in the mountains.

hi Kay, i just subscribed. as a kid in Brooklyn i loved the guitar & was studying folk/blues guitar. i remember the first time i heard a flamenco guitar (Sabicas) & was stunned. i found a teacher who had studied in Spain with Justo de Badajoz and learned flamenco guitar, it just gets to you. we started with Soleares.
