A Common fault with Beko washing machine is that the appliance will not start; you may have an error code showing on digital display type E9 or E10 but sometimes they just show a warning code like 0417 which only means a fault is detected. this video will show you how to replace the old door lock or sometimes known as an interlock.

Brilliant, thank you. The clearest instructions I've seen. Got my machine working again. Definitely worth a beer 😊
A couple of things possibly worth mentioning -
1. my Beko WMP601W has a spring section at the bottom left of the door seal retaining wire. This has loops at either end that you can get a small screwdriver into to make it easier to start levering the wire off.
2. The new switch screw holes are not threaded, so the screws self tap. Not easy to get tight! I had to screw part way and remove a couple of times before they fully tightened.
Thank you very much. Just fix my machine after watching your video on Saturday ❤ Thank again

Thank you so much for this! You've saved my family from having to buy a new washing machine at this difficult time .. highly recommend, very easy to follow!
Fantastic video. I was able to fix my own machine for less than £10 and save myself a call-out charge (or a new machine). Spouse has called me a "genius" for fixing our washing machine so this video comes highly recommended.
Thank you. Your tutorials are so clear and it is useful knowing where to get the correct parts from
I did not even replace the part, just clean it up and it works great again. Thanks man! My second half was already on the way for the new one.
Fixed my washing machine thanks to this video, thanks!
Great video, thank you. Saved me a lot of money, and back ack. my other half was insisting I buy a new washing machine. Instead, it cost me 9.99 for the part and took me 3 minutes to change it. The only complicated thing was putting the spring back on.
Thank you, I managed to repair my washing machine using your video! Thank you so much!
Just wanted to thank you for this video. I was able to find the part and change it out with the help of this video and saved my mom a lot of money 😅

thank you very much for making this video, I easily replaced the door lock after watching and it saved me buying a new machine, thanks again
Great teacher Very easy to follow tutorials, thank you for the pleasure.
Excellent video, really appreciated so thanks very much.New interlock cost £6.99 plus p&p. A lot cheaper than a service call out or new machine! 🙂.
As others have mentioned spring ring on my machine around door seal was also 'tricky' to get back on back on .....
Old lock was nearly 10 yrs old, so spring will be similar!
To get back on used a flat head screw driver to hold ring in place on RHS and then used a round head screw driver through bottom most spring end loop on left hand side. Pulled the spring loop located screw driver anti clock wise and eventually it 'self-looped' into place. Nothing else worked as spring had very little give.
Job now done, machine working etc and v happy!

This really helped me out however my switch was fine, my connector block was loose and getting hot. A quick clean up
And re attachment and all is well. I wonder if this was loose from the factory!
Any idea why a Beko wm6112w won’t start its “wash” cycle but will do everything else like spin and drain etc? The door locks and seems fine otherwise. The wash LED lights up, waits for a minute or two then the wash and ready light flash then won’t do anythin. Any idea?
Will this apply to beko voltas model? Im getting an E10 error too. Hopefully, i don't have to replace the board
Fab - thank you so much!!
Fantastic, thank you 👍👍👍👍
top explanation .. cheers
Hi Paul. I put the Beko into diagnostic mode and got 0417. In diagnostic mode drum spins. But in normal operation it won't start . The door energizes. Is it the lock?
Would this lock fit my Beko WMB 61021 W?
Thank you so much for your easy guide tutorial. Top man , much love . Nice to know people like you though lol cheers 👌
My beko has the doorlock light on when I close the door when I start a program the doorlock light will go off and the machine will pump water in, but it will not start, I checked the belt and the engine, you think it could be the doorlock ? I cant remember it lights up when the program starts.

The machine i changed the door switch on, had to be slammed quite hard to get it to shut properly. Perhaps the old catch was ok. Not going to try old one again, spring around door seal was a pain to get back on.
Thank you so much..

Great video. Very well presented. I have the exact same washing machine on the right with the digital display. I'm not getting error codes but the washing won't start washing on any selected program. If I open the door and slam with a bit more force than usually necessary then the washing machine will work. Is this an interlock issue? Do I need to replace it?
This will either be the door interlock or could be an alignment problem with the door pecker unit but I think it will be the lock remember if you need further assistance if you subscribe to the channel you will get notifications of live shows
if the block door is funcionaly, and they don't start. what problem could be?
Thanks for the video! I have replaced the part but the machine still not working and the lock won't engage. any advice greatly appreciated. thank you
If you have replaced the lock and inspected the wiring going back to the circuit board, then I suspect you may have a problem with either of the clasp system on the door, but more likely it will be a printed circuit board fault. glad we could help you @naomilander-gray7364 this is for you czcams.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's what keeps this channel going. Hi just wondering if you could help me with my beko washing machine model WTB740E1W when the machine put to work its making this weird ticking noise and lights flashing on and off never starts..will this be the same issue with the lock?
Would it be possible for you to upload a video to CZcams for me to have a look at this?
@@How-to-repair hi thank you for your message and im sorry im outside the country at the moment and will upload as soon as possible…and let u know…
I have changed the door interlock and the guide button assembly but still wont work. Has power and switches on and off. Prewash light is flashing. Quick wash light and ready light are on. No light on start button. Can you help please?
Update.
Got my machine working thankyou. After much perseverance .... i kept pressing and holding all buttons with machine powered on and after the 100th time they all began flashing and it started.
Hi my terminal is black were it has blown I've taken it off to check but now can't remember which order the three different wires got back, I didn't take a picture for some stupid reason please help
my terminal was also burned, but I don't know where the compatible terminal is sold on the internet, where did you buy the new terminal, I hope you have solved your problem.
Will the pump spin if the lock switch fails to close the circuit?
If the door lock does not work, then none of the components should be activated
I had to keep hitting the door where the lock is to start it filling, but after doing this a few times there was a sound and now the machine won't come on at all, any ideas what's happened?
This sounds like you'll do lock made her failed and will need replacing. please use site when you have a question please use our site for 24 hour response www.how-to-repair.com/help/contact-us/

how-2-repair.com Hi I've changed the interlock, when I switch the plug on I hear sound going to the lock, but still nothing lights up on the mashie.
Hi do you know what age my beko washing machine is please? beko wmc126w
I'm sorry I haven't got that information
My washing machine was off (plugged in) continuous lock and unlock sounds all night with a slight electrical sound like the washing machine was being turned off and on when yeh click happened even though the thing was off, any ideas ?
this sounds like either the door lock is faulty or the PCB Thanks please remember to subscribe as that's is was keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍

It is a very good tutorial, however, I'm really struggling to get the ring back round the seal! Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what was your fix? My thumbs are red raw!
Having same problem now. Any tips?
@@brianwhelan100 I'm having this same problem right now! Will just have to keep trying
same problem have had to walk away from it for now
Make sure you put the spring at the end (just like in the video) keep it loose to the very end to let it stretch as much as possible, take it slow, I did it with my bare hands
Where can I order the new part???
all the parts can be found at the website www.how-to-repair.com/ please remember to subscribe as that's is was keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍
iwas halfway and the screws wouldnt come out, and the door seal wouldnt stick to the panel
My machine wasnt starting a wash and the door didnt lock i replaced the lock and the machine still wont start the programme
If you have changed the door interlock and the wiring is all good, going to the printed circuit board, then you may have a problem with the board itself
Great! Thanks so much for share so important information, always fix if someone tell you what to do 🫡👍
