There is no way the doctor would have revealed all that at the end, they gave us the realism of her shaking out of her racist image of the midwife, then gave us the nonsense of the doctor, followed by more hallucinatory imagery. Very unsatisfying.
My mother also had an issue with a doctor, a serious one, but this film would not offer any satisfaction.
