I have seen many comments about their downloads going from 80% to 0% mine keeps restarting the download over and over and over again and I tried all day to download lego star wars: tcs
If anyone has problems downloading games that keeps restarting (ex: going from 79% to 0%), I've searched and tried everything and I can't find a fix. I'm pretty sure this is an issue with Microsofts networks/servers and has nothing to do with your Xbox. They release an update or something that completely destroyed downloading games and they have not yet fixed it or owned up to it. I tried calling and they said that its a "hard drive issue" but it clearly isn't. I've have tried absolutely everything (Different hard drives, different Xbox's, clearing cache, uninstalling updates, etc.) and I can't seem to download certain games. Some games do work but I'm not sure which ones do or don't unfortunately. It sucks really bad but they probably won't fix it because the Xbox 360 is so old now and they're focused on the next generation consoles.
@@Alexis-ii6lw Yeah unfortunately no matter how many times you try, it wont download. As of now theres nothing you can do to fix it, its all on Microsoft end and until they do something we're all out of luck :/ Sorry! I did see other people saying they had issue's downloading Skate 3 as well. Really sucks because when you call them they act like they don't know whats going on. Ether they do and are just trying to act like they don't because they're not gonna fix it, or they just generally have no idea whats going on. With the next generation consoles coming out soon and already backwards compatibility on the Xbox One, I can see them not fixing it as they're not too focused on the Xbox 360 anymore... really sucks because we still payed money for these games!

I had exactly the same problem as everyone else has the download going from 80% down to 0% all the time and finally got it working, delete the game completely from your '' hard drive '' and then you put on '' background downloads '' later go to the shop to find your game start the download, and lastly you turn off your xbox 360 and let the game download overnight, it may not work the first time so try a few times with background download, my worked after the third try, so just repeat this and it may work for you

I have question My dragon age dlcs are all corrupted. I bought the CD for the dlcs at Gamestop. So if I uninstall them, go online on my Xbox and find them again, I can just redownload them with no problems and when I play the game they won't be corrupted and everything will be good?
I see everyone commenting that their 360 games won't download past 80% without restarting and the same thing has been happening to me over the past few days. I spoke to someone on Xbox support and they said my hard drive must be corrupted which is bullshit and shows they are not aware of this issue. One thing I noticed is that while certain 360 games I've tried to download won't get past 80% (Far Cry, Hitman, Assasins Creed, Halo 4), I have gotten many Original Xbox games (Star Wars Battlefront 1& 2, KOTR, Republic Commando, Halo 1&2, Conker) to download in full with no problems. I recommend everyone try to download a Original Xbox game if they have any to see if it works. There must be some sort of Xbox Live issue with certain 360 games if everyone experiencing the same issue. It may have something to do with the recent Xbox Live service issue on Xbox One that have happened over the past week. Hopefully they will notice and fix this issue but that seems doubtful knowing Microsoft.
Having the same problem with Just Cause 2...Also bought Just Cause,Thief and Lara Croft: Guardian of Light which all down-loaded perfectly...So it's not a problem with Xbox 360 games or a problem with a certain publisher(all Square Enix games)...Microsoft have made a mess...Pretty funny(or sad) that they're actually telling people, that it's their hard-drives, which are the problem...I am new to X-box but in the 5 months i've owned one a hard lock-out has occured(took me hours of back and forth with microsoft to get it up and running only thing i did? I became a gold member, which my account couldn't handle?????) and now this happens...LOL I thought SONY was incompetent, but have to say that these things never happens on my PS4,PS3 or PS Vita...Embarrassing...
@@sipoway Yeah I just know that a lot of people still play Xbox 360 and use the online services but Microsoft has seemed to abandon the system over the past few years and I doubt they look to fix it especially with the Series X coming out later this year I wouldn't be surprised if they shutdown the 360 servers soon.

I’m having the #79percentproblem. I bought perfect dark, it gets to 78 or 79 and then it fails. Start again, it starts at 78 or 79, goes back to zero, goes back to 79, fails. Delete and try again, same thing. I have done every fix and I don’t have a connection or hard drive issue. It’s not the biggest deal in the world or whatever but it really sucks, but I’m buying an Xbox one in the next few weeks so I guess it really doesn’t matter, that is, unless that doesn’t work either.
I managed to download my game somehow... I turned off my auto shut down for my 360 and left it overnight. Eventually it downloaded like 10 times but the game finally downloaded. Just be patient because I think the servers are overloaded and the game eventually will download

Hello everyone, if you are having a problem with the 79% to o, well I am happy to say that Microsoft has addressed the issue and is now working on a solution,
I have been able to download titles such as, South park the stuck of truth, mw2, red dead redemption and madden, all of which were having problems downloading
Update for everyone dealing with the 79% to restart download problems, someone on the Xbox 360 reddit said they got this message from Xbox support: “This issue has been reported by many 360 gamers over the past couple of days & is currently being looked into by the development team” so hopefully this issue is being addressed and will be fixed over the next few days.
I try to play halo 4 and I’m connected to Xbox live and it just says checking downloaded content data and just keeps loading forever and does let me do anything and when I sing out it stops loading and it works normal but when I wanna play with my Xbox love account it just loads forever does someone know why or how to fix this plz

+Breath Sometimes things download at 80% rather than 100%. Make sure it isn't already downloaded or you have a save file on it. If there is a save file on it, deleting it would probably be the best option.

I want to download GTA V. Disc 2 works fine, BUT Disc 1 cannot be read. When the „please insert Disc 1 to install” i put the Disc, and… „Incorrect Disc, please use Disc 1” I am. Nobody can help me.
GUYS I THINK I HAVE THE SOLUTION. It worked for me anyways. I tried to download WAW and Bo1 dlc and it would go from 99% to 0% and the game would say corrupt. I gave up for a few weeks and then I tried to play BO2. The disc said unreadable. I looked up ways to fix this and it said go to settings > account and head over to Billing options > License transfer. After transferring the licenses all of my dlc downloaded as well as WAW.
Probably the same issue everyone is having but this 78% download completion problem is annoying. Cleared my hard drive and tried to get MW2, and at 78% is says "Device is Full" when there is more than 5 GB of space than the download.
Elijah Quinn At the moment, all I can say is make sure it is not partially installed, if it has a ! mark and says unknown game, delete it, then try again. It may have to do with going online, then offline. Have you been able to download other games in the past? Is there anything which changes during the duration of the download?Also, for some reason on Skate 3 there is a glitch where disk and versions bought on the store aren't compatible. So someone with the game on disk cannot play with someone who has it from the store. Just so you know. :)

I try to download skate 3 on digital and it’s goes to 79 and resets to 0 and I have background downloads on. I’m trying it again and I hope it works because I spent 30 dollars on it. +Ender_ Born_Gaming Other than what I mentioned in the video and other comment, no sadly. If you haven't restarted your Xbox and you are sure it isn't already has a save file on it I cannot help you, but more information would be helpful.

My halo reach and max payne 3 are reseting at 80% but i downloaded assasins creed 1 and revelations without problems

If it is a disc
1. Remove Disc
2. Go to storage settings and delete the application
3. Insert the disc and run it
4. Did it work?

Update for everyone dealing with the 79% to restart download problems, someone on the Xbox 360 reddit said they got this message from Xbox support: “This issue has been reported by many 360 gamers over the past couple of days & is currently being looked into by the development team” so hopefully this issue is being addressed and will be fixed over the next few days.

I try to play halo 4 and I’m connected to Xbox live and it just says checking downloaded content data and just keeps loading forever and does let me do anything and when I sing out it stops loading and it works normal but when I wanna play with my Xbox love account it just loads forever does someone know why or how to fix this plz
I know all of you are having the same problem as me where the download restarts every time you try downloading, I wish Microsoft would fix this issue but the Xbox 360 is dead asf so who knows if this will ever get a fix, someone please let me know if this gets fixed

+Breath Sometimes things download at 80% rather than 100%. Make sure it isn't already downloaded or you have a save file on it. If there is a save file on it, deleting it would probably be the best option.

GUYS I THINK I HAVE THE SOLUTION. It worked for me anyways. I tried to download WAW and Bo1 dlc and it would go from 99% to 0% and the game would say corrupt. I gave up for a few weeks and then I tried to play BO2. The disc said unreadable. I looked up ways to fix this and it said go to settings > account and head over to Billing options > License transfer. After transferring the licenses all of my dlc downloaded as well as WAW.
It appears it may have been fixed . After 4 days of unsuccessfully trying to download , the game now suddenly appears in "my games".

Probably the same issue everyone is having but this 78% download completion problem is annoying. Cleared my hard drive and tried to get MW2, and at 78% is says "Device is Full" when there is more than 5 GB of space than the download.
I effectively burned $20.
I spent 29.99 on the stick of truth for this shit to happen, let's hope Xbox realises that this is their problem and they need to fix it.

Elijah Quinn At the moment, all I can say is make sure it is not partially installed, if it has a ! mark and says unknown game, delete it, then try again. It may have to do with going online, then offline. Have you been able to download other games in the past? Is there anything which changes during the duration of the download?Also, for some reason on Skate 3 there is a glitch where disk and versions bought on the store aren't compatible. So someone with the game on disk cannot play with someone who has it from the store. Just so you know. :)

I try to download skate 3 on digital and it’s goes to 79 and resets to 0 and I have background downloads on. I’m trying it again and I hope it works because I spent 30 dollars on it. And if it doesn’t work. I don’t know, what to do because it’s not big of a game it’s 6.00 gb that’s not much I tried deleting games that I don’t play. If any else knows how to fix this please comment. I haven’t turned of the Xbox yet. Because I don’t want to waste like 30 minutes and come back to see it’s on 0 percent. Thank you for helping me. The solution to the problem is turn off the Xbox 360 while the game is downloading and turning back on it will work I tried it it works
