      I believe curtin was remarking the events of before the war and why Australia was in dire circumstances at the beginning of it, at that point of the speech.

      All churchill ever did was use our troops as cannon fodder. He sent our men to die in the Dardanelles and almost let us die again.

      @Make_Australia_British_Again Yes.. we failed ourselves, in a campaign that was doomed from the start due to its poor planning. The terrain was unsuitable and gave the Ottomans a great advantage defensively, horrible supply for our men because of the rough terrain, the Campaign being a waste of british resources that was already being overextended and the high casualities that our men suffered. It's also clear from your username that you do not have Australia's best interests at heart, so I already know what I need to know
