The Witchlight Carnival is in town so it's the perfect chance for the party to debut their new show starring Dargle-Bark the shape-shifting Druid. What could possibly go wrong?

Evandra DID state that they had something noone had ever seen and presented a reverse owlbear. Clearly the audience were in the wrong
I have truly witnessed something I have never seen before.
It took a whole 3 minutes and 45 seconds for Nixie to set or threaten to set something on fire. And she wasn't even the one who suggested it.
Marvelous. Without compare. A once in a lifetime opportunity.
It helps when you're distracted by dingly dangles.

"Don't worry the fire stings at first but then your flesh melts off and its over pretty quick after that." Brings me back to the bardic inspiration song... "Nixie says concerning things, and mostly ends up burning things."
After your flesh melts off, the fire doesn't sting anymore.
Ya know, Nixie’s not wrong. Once your nerve endings are destroyed you can’t really feel the pain anymore. And with all those feathers and fur, he’d probably die of smoke inhalation first.

A druid that doesn't get out much, I love it.
I had a character just like that. He was born on a cultish island so had no idea what certain creatures looked like. So when he conjured up dragons, they were basically Komodo dragons with fairy like wings. It was beautiful.

The costume design in this serious is magnificent! I love how much care there is put into conveying the characters through color and shape design. It's such a delight to see great visual character design brought to life! Much feel great for the actors too, too wear such awesome costumes too :D

Back when I was land surveying. I called for animal rescue and reported animal cruelty on multiple occasions. Often the people responding were volunteers or people hired by charitable organizations, but not one of them ever came from PETA.

I'm fairly sure at this point that Evandra is aligned neutral evil and just hasn't realized yet. Nixie likes burning things, sure, but can anyone think of one brutal act Evandra wouldn't do if it was to her benefit?

I wonder how many people will see this and not get the joke that Druids can't wildshape into Owlbears as they lack the "beast" tag required for wild shape, also Owlbears are CR 3 which additionally most druids can't reach (circle of the moon druids can at level 9+).
For those curious, the only way a druid could become an owl bear is with the 9th level spell shape change (available at druid level 17) or having another class like wizard or sorcerer true polymorph them, all of which, Owlbear would be a wasteful choice generally speaking, for these spells which could say turn you into an adult gold dragon or ancient brass dragon instead.

Hey, my character being a teiflings saved my party a few times. Mostly from our Wildfire Druid...she loves fire...maybe she's related to Nixie.
My tiefling rogue's favorite trick is standing in the middle of a fireball and taking 1/8th damage
It's kinda wild how a druid transforming into an owlbear is less amazing than an owlbear

Nixie's jester makeup is wonderful, and along with her playing with the dangly poms of her hat and dancing along with the bear-owl, etc. she's extra adorbs here!
Loved the part when Evandra warns the audience not to make any sudden movements, and Nixe stops moving. Little bit like that are why I love your sketches.

I can't even understand how these guys can keep pulling off such amazing acting with a shoesstring budget only big enough to feed themselves. Let alone multiple people coming for back to back episodes. Something truelly amazing like a rock band staying together for years and years hoping for a big payday while sleeping in a bus on the road between concerts.

I was going to make the obvious comment that the druid can't turn into an owlbear until level 17, but honestly, it makes it kinda funnier that he's that high-level and still doesn't know what an owlbear is LOL
When you roll a 1 on your Nature Check… But I kind of like the homebrew where you can *attempt* to transform into any animal (or monstrosity if you want to get technical) but you may or may not be successful.
