I had a jbl sb140 that had the same problem. I found a solution that worked for me. For the procedure below to work, your TV or device must be connected to HDMI with ARC and the function active on the TV/device : I found the information in a document that the device in demo mode will look for an available source and will be stuck in this until it is unplugged, my device was in optical mode, I disconnected from the wall and connected to the TV through hdmi arc, then I sent a command to turn off when turning off the TV, the soundbar finally it went into stand-by with red led, then with the device in stand-by I was able to reset the device by holding the power and source buttons for 10 seconds as shown in the user manual.
I tried this and nothing. Mine looks like it is stuck on optical mode. Remote control doesn't do anything. The weird thing is that if I connect the optical it does work, but you cant use the remote control or switch mode. Is this the same issue you had???

It solved the problem here. When turning on device it blinked red a few times, then lit orange, and only + and - keys made the orange blink, but nothing happened. I put a HDMI cable in the ARC slot in the TV, then in the device and turned on the TV. Then I shut off the TV, and my SB120 went into red light mode instead of orange. I removed the HDMI cable from the SB120, performed the up-down-left-right-up-down trick from the video above, and bingo - my soundbar went into blue light mode and I could switch it on with the remote. THANKS A LOT

@@walidkayed1202 Not yet, I contacted JBL repeatedly, they gave me supposed solutions but nothing works, it seems that the only alternative is to send it directly to service, with a high risk that this error will appear again in the future...I am very disappointed with the service they offer and the quality of their products, I hope you can fix it, if you find any solution please let me know.

Yes I did it works sometime but again while working the sound bar become silent but wirless subwoofer keeps playing . There will red light blinking in sound bar and I have to turn the sound off and on it again for reconnection . Don't know why itis.
