  • Let's make a Crochet Towel Holder! Crochet towel holders, also known as towel toppers, are a popular and practical kitchen accessory. This beginner-friendly pattern uses basic crochet stitches and provides options for three different designs. The pattern is versatile, allowing for various yarn substitutions and customization in size. Wooden rings are used to complete the towel toppers.

    I bought your pattern months ago, and LOVE it! I’ve made a lot of them for gifts and sold some at a craft show, but mostly I love using them in my home. I use double strands of cotton yarn. I also use the smaller rings from Hobby Lobby in the macrame section because my hubby and grandkids have a tendency to pull the towels out of the bigger rings. Thanks for so kindly sharing your techniques, patterns, and inspiring so many people!

      Your sweet comment means so much to me! It makes me so happy to hear you’re enjoying it so much! I love hearing the variations everyone is making to the pattern, to make it their own ❤

      What size rings did you use for the cotton yarn? What size hook? Thank you.

    I’ve made some with rings , mine were about 4” like yours . They didn’t want to buy bcoz the ring was too thick to go around their oven door holder ! I gave up on them , some ladies said they’d hang on a kitchen knob ! I like them but I’m not getting stuck with so many !

    • @SimplyMadebyErin
      @SimplyMadebyErin  Před měsícem

      I've heard from a few that the rings don't fit over their handles. I've seen an option where you crochet a loop around one side instead of of having the ring, you just slide the loop around the towel to hold it in place. Does that needle have another name other than just blunt and needle? I looked on Amazon and all they have are the large-eyed regular blunt and needles. Where did you get yours

    I'm making the 4 inch rings now and I am using Lion's brand Soft and Simple - so awesome but discontinued. My question is I chained 8 so 7 after the turn. I never know how wide to make this until they are done and they seem to run off the sides of the wood rings but you chained 9. How do we measure this or eye ball this so it's not too big once we get to the fasten off stage?

    • @SimplyMadebyErin
      @SimplyMadebyErin  Před 6 dny +1

      The approximate band width, before adding the rings varies from about 3.25″-4″.

    Can I ask how long this should typically measure? I used a slightly different yarn 2 strands together (simple and soft vicose yarn by Lion's brand).

    • @SimplyMadebyErin
      @SimplyMadebyErin  Před 2 měsíci +1

      If you made the long version it's about 7.25" without the rings, but most people are preferring the shorter version. Here's my blog post that talks about the different sizes: simplymadebyerin.com/2023/10/13/crochet-towel-holders-3-ways-free-crochet-pattern/

    • @SimplyMadebyErin
      @SimplyMadebyErin  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Sorry about that! Probably about two inches shorter, the finished measurement with the rings included is about 11-12 inches.

      @@SimplyMadebyErin That's Ok. I shrunk mine, did 7 chain and less rows. It looks great!!! Now one last question, where did you get that silver darning needle?? And I can't find the rings in that color? Love this and your work. I will be making more.
