To answer Pat's question, a GREAT example of an extra becoming a regular cast member, would be Creed Bratton from "The Office" which they're also watching. He got a speaking part by total accident, and was never a character initially planned for the show's story.
Dolph Lundgren appeared as extra in View To A Kill and played Ivan Drago the same year
Also Gunther from Friends who only got his part because he was the only extra who knew how to run the coffee machine.

The fact that Dennis has almost no lines this episode except for one fantastical, somewhat disturbing editorial on Mac and Charlie's movie is just hilarious.
That's one of my favorite Dennis monologues. The line delivery is spectacular.

I feel this way about so many movies
It's the most disappointing thing to me when a movie has a great premise, but then fucks it all up in the execution. Case in point: the film Paradox from 2010, or Multiverse of Madness.
Dee and Dennis interactions with the director really helps sell that they are twins as they are both equally awful.😅

And with this, we have now completely caught up with the last episode that the Always Sunny podcast did, and that was LAST YEAR!
The irony is not lost on me that just like the gang in the show when it seems like they’ve found something really successful they just give up right when they hit the first speed bump (the writers and actors strikes). And then it just…ends.

Mathew McConaughey wasn’t an extra per se, but he originally had a small role in Dazed and Confused, but impressed the director so much his role was expanded on the fly. The rest is history… alright alright alright….

Pertaining to the conversation at the end. I'm an educator and have many students with non traditional and Non America. Names. Some languages have minor inflections or sound that don't exist in other languages. You didn't have to change your name for Americans. It seems to surprise my students when I ask them the correct pronunciation, then practice it so I can address them correctly. Most people will take the time to do so. Fun story actually, I had 2 little Indian girls who were telling me how to pronounce their name right, and I spend about 20 minutes with them after class to get it. . .and then, one of the little girls was like "you have to Bob your head when you say it" and I was like. . .o, no. . . For reasons I can't explain to your right now. . . That might get me in trouble lol 😆
