Even by that time of bad habits (1991) Andy Mccoy recorded a great album with band Shooting Gallery (Polygram). If this guy is telling the truth, if he had stayed in that house he was supposed to be in that band and record that album with musicians that already had toured and/or recorded with Iggy Pop, Lords of the New Church, Depeche Mode, Bruce Springsteen. Andy Mccoy's music and Hanoi Rocks' style were the biggest influence for Guns N' Roses. GNR's "Welcome to the Jungle" is inspired on the chorus of Hanoi's "Underwater World" song. "Paradise City" whole concept and riff is "inspired" on Hanoi's "Lost in the City" just to puta little context here. Who is this hairdresser anyway?
@@RFDc853 Totally! "Don't Cry" by GNR was also inspired by Hanoi Rocks. Shooting Gallery was a great band with an excellent record that sounds still great. Andy said he broke up the band due to drug use. The record has Hanoi Rocks and Cherry Bombs material on it in addition to excellent material they created!

Andy is a legend, like the Finnish Keith Richards. So many great songs with and without Hanoi. So many singers would give their right arm to be in Andy's band, and Robin was simply approached by Angela without even trying.

Try shooting up everyday for several years straight I used heroin for about 6 years intravenously smoking and snorting but shut up for about 4 yrs I quit slamming it got tired of abscesses. especially after getting 5 and 1 month.dopesickness is a sickness like no other and gets worse the longer u use n get clean n relapse more n more as years go on

Not by choice my lungs were fucked, now my lungs have recovered but i have blood clots deep vein thrombosis and require blood thinners for life, scars all over my arms legs hands and feet 1996 started. Back in methadone maintenance. Hard life man. The highs the lows. I cant even have a blood test anymore
@brandonnevarez8417 its does, it really does. The first time i realised i had a habit id been using for about 5 weeks solid every day twice a day. I stopped using quite easily i had a about 3 days of feeling lethargic and stomach ache. Threw up a little didn't sleep to well but was fine, each time i used again and stopped the symptoms got worse by the 3rd time i was full on kicking hard. Burning up freezing cold. Sweating sneezing coughing headaches restless arms and legs. Couldn't even stand up and walk about without my blood pressure bottoming out and almost collapsing. The shits wretched bile, like yellow acid that would burn your throat and nose and take your breath away to the point you can't breathe. Its sucks
Ive done speed and heroine for a month straight and then went cold turkey that was the hardest 3 fucking days of my life it's like having awful flu with the cold sweats and being completely achey and depressed wanting to die

He was definitely in withdrawal, and he was one decision away from a life of self-destruction and possibly death! Unfortunately I wasn't that lucky, I did my first line at 24 in 1984 and spent the next 30 years fighting it, and was on methadone for 19 years. Thanks to God, I've been clean for over 3 years! Unfortunately, I lost a few very close friends to it. Most people who are dealing with depression or problems from childhood or traumatic experiences that try it get hooked!

I would not be so sure, 4 days of constant IV heroin can cause somekind of mild withdrawls for unexperienced user. I know morphine users that get withdrawls after a less than week using and heroin is way stronger.

Andy told similar story in his memoir 2001. He said that steven adler from gnr introduced andy for heroin, andy did it 4 days straight and then stopped. I feel like the book is where this robin guy stole the story and tells it like it happened to him

I’m sorry but I partied with Robin Black at Toronto bars. He was wasted most of the times I saw him, and not just booze. I credit him for getting out and working out after he had an overdose. Then he changed everything.

It's suspicious because the it takes is more time than 4 days for the brain to develop enough extra dopamine receptors as well as adjust the hypothalumus to trigger withdrawal after ceasing usage. After 4 days heavy use, or even 2-3 weeks of lighter use, you will likely suffer from SEVERE sleep problems and a few other mild symptoms. But the full on hell of Oppie withdrawal from that amount of time, especially for a first time user? Highly unlikely. I think he was talking more about psychological symptoms

@Carolina1 i never got dope sick and i took it for 8 days so i honestly cant see him rattling after 4 plus a rattle lasts longer than 2 days its more like a week of throwing up and feeling like shit aching all over runny nose hot and cold flushes and the worst part not been able to get comfortable or sleep.

i was gonna say the same thing, and he's saying it was a violent withdrawal. i shot morphine and hydromorphone with no prior opiate or other drug use, i was using 3-5 days out of a week for about 6wks without withdrawal, then over a month of daily use before i went into withdrawal. i started early sept '05 and it was around xmas when it hit. unlike this guy i had clean sterile rigs, pure pharma opiates.
