People who claim Tua just doesnt mesh with tough minded coaches are deluding themselves. Tough coachs break you down to build you up. They hold you to a higher standard by telling you that they think you can do better, know you can do better. They make you want to strive to be the person they see you as. Saban does this to his players and THIS is tough coaching. What Tua is recounting is NOT that. Tua is saying Flores just trashed him, told him he sucks, told him he doesnt deserve to be there and told him that he wanted him gone. Their is nothing about that that is trying to build him up after breaking him down. Flores goal was never to build Tua up, it was purely to tear him down so he can replace him with someone else because he didnt like Tua and thought he was never going to make it in the NFL so didnt want to give him a chance. Flores had his mind set against Tua and wasnt changing it. Now we can see Tuas performance improve dramatically and lead the league in passing last season when that locker room cancer is removed. Flores issue isnt that he is a tough coach, its just that he is an asshole, which is a common trait we see from the Bill Belichick coaching tree. So many coaches coming from him fail because they only copy the first part of tearing the players down. They dont implement the very vital second part, which is why we dont see Belichick disciples succeed normally. Belichick disciples turning out to just be assholes when they get a HC gig is a very common trend.
what Tua are you watching? The one I've watched, has thrown 55 - 60 "IN AIR YARDS" multiple times. You got to REALLY hate your life, to make shit up about AND repeat lies about a total stranger. McDaniel is 9-8 and 11-5 in two seasons. Neither have a playoff win or AFC east title. And Flores didn't have Tyreek Hill or the roster McDaniel got. Our defense was 10x better w/ Flores and he had wayy less on D to work with. Perfect world, I would have McDaniel as the OC and Flores as the head coach because we were 100x more disciplined as a team.
