Omar Rudberg är artist, låtskrivare och skådespelare. 2013-2017 ingick han i framgångsrika FO&O, och sedan 2018 är han soloartist. Hans musik har texter på svenska, spanska och engelska. I Melodifestivalen 2017 tog han sig till final som en del av FO&O, och 2019 tävlade han som soloartist och slutade på sjätte plats i deltävlingen.
Som en av huvudrollsinnehavarna i den strömmade serien Young Royals har han nått idolstatus bland yngre tittare och fått fans internationellt. Omar är född i Venezuela och har idag en nära en miljon följare från Latinamerika. 2022 släpper han sitt debutalbum och spelar in säsong 2 av Young Royals. - Zábava
If the app would have worked he would definitely be at least in the semifinal, it's very unfair because he was one of the favorites, his performance was amazing and this was perfect for Eurovision

im not sure about that tbh, I mean, Theoz qualified for semifinals and I’m pretty sure he has a lot of younger fans who wouldve voted on the app. Like a lot more than Omar… So not really sure it would’ve changed a lot, maybe he could’ve taken Danne’s place in the semifinals at most.
@@lovelantis9479 yes it also affected him bc of the younger audience but I think Theoz had more variety of fans from different ages, I mean just by seeing the number of views on each performance you see Theoz was the 2nd one with the most views, so if the app would have worked I think he probably would be on a better position, because no one expected Danne to get that high

@@Kurre. It means that it is a fair voting system if everyone pays for voting. Old people may not know how the app works and young people may not have too much money to vote. Voting once per person is also a more fair voting system.
@@ann-christinenilsson4046 I do not think that your comment comment is logical. If someone has a lot of money they can vote multiple times but a person with less money can vote fewer times. In the app there is a limit to how many votes you can give someone (5).
@@tubisi Actually it crashed half way through Theoz performance and they said they wouldn't count the votes in Malou's performance to make it fair. The only issue was that you did now have to pay to vote

It was Good, but hold me closer was better. The staging was TOO dark. Sometime it was hard enjoying the performance because of the Elide and the darkness. But I agree with you, this song definitely deserved to qualify to the final, definitely.

Cause the voting app crashed and no one could vote. You could only vote by calling the number which costs money, and it's almost only old people doing that. So that may be why Hallabaloo got AC

The best thing about watching Omar perform is that you can't stop smiling and you just know he's having such a good time on the stage. Literally can't stop watching his performance. Too bad he didn't go through. He deserved it soooooo much!
There are so many better things than Eurovision - I never watch it (except the Will Ferrell movie, that one was great fun with a heart). Am not into pop usually either. Found Omar without the help of Eurovision. Am glued to my screen even since.

@@Jisooskzsweden Europe seems to hate Sweden for sending slick popsongs, and the song is very repetitive and he can´t sing and dance at the same time. There are better songs to send to Eurovision. It doesn´t mean that he doesn´t have talent. Eurovision consists of more than screaming teenage girls(boys) voting for bad songs.

I just found out that only adults with money could vote so that is why 🙂..also idk if people outside Sweden are allowed to vote cuz the app wasn't available on my country and i can't call the number for some reason

@@tubisi It literally costs ~ €0,34 per time if you call the cheapest number. To say that teenagers can't afford that whilst they spend at least 6 times as much every weekday on food and similar is such a bad excuse. If you don't vote, even though it costs a little bit of money, you can't complain over the results.

@@kokohaha3604 It's more like the voting system is depending much on the age groups. It means that 60-75 and 75+ won't obviously vote for this song but for others like Robin. That's why also Omar didn't qualify in 2019. You can see in detailed results which group voted for him back then. It were mostly teens
@@Robiw2 yeah exactly and since they had problems with the voting app he lost a lot of votes. In my opinion they should change the voting system or at least fix the app before they start announcing the results because this wasn’t fair to Omar but also to the other participants, maybe somebody else would’ve gone through to the final or semifinal 5

The voting app of Melodifestivalen had technical difficulties. Tomas Angelstrom, head of technologies, acknowledged the issue alongside Anette Brattstrom and informed the host regarding the issue. The app crashed twice during live sending. If you had to vote, you would need to pay for it by calling two specific number - one being more expensive than the other.
I have to admit, I'm really liking this. It reminds me of the type of music produced by Years & Years.
Such a shame he didn't make it through.

This is confusing me. Many people are hating on us a lot. No matter what we send we get hate. Omar had a very generic song and many have always been hating on us for having generic songs, now everyone is sad that a generic song did not make it? I think he is cute and talented and deserved better and he was better then most in the first round but not my favorite, my favorite at the moment is Cornelia, Omar is my second favorite only because most others were super boring.

omar's incredible, the song is incredible, im still in shock that hallabaloo got into the semis over this omg. quite sure its due to the app not working since so many votes werent counted and most people find it easier to vote through the app. he looks great, sounds great, his dancing is so natural and you can tell he's having so much fun up there! so in love with the move at 2:23, when he kneels on the floor and that final spin omfg. he's a STAR. he gave us a whole incredible dance and sang at the same time. he's amazing at everything he does, he has a huge international fanbase and we all can't wait to see what he does next! stream moving like that!!!
