Another cracking vlog, your in top form this week and in excellent humour? Hymer & Mercedes make a very salubrious combination, I’ll certainly add this to my Lottery win fantasy Garage.
Lovely vans! But the price!! Made my eyes water! Great video again, you're definitely putting the hours in this week! You'll need a holiday after all this, you're working very hard to make sure there are plenty of vids to keep us all happy! I tend to watch them as soon as they are posted but people who have perhaps been away themselves will have a field day watching all these exciting new models. I love the way you try to include as many different models of vans, caravans etc that cover the whole spectrum of camping for many different types of people whether single, a couple or a big family!! All ages, young and old, all genders etc. well done you for targeting everybody and giving us all a well thought out array of different options! Take care, have a well earned rest, you deserve it! You get what you pay for and do agree maybe somewhat high but what a Campervan that will hold its money more than a conversion

Those wall slats look neat, but I can see them all falling down if you go over any bumps. I like the bed that can be just a single with more floor space or a full double. And the new control unit that replaced the old one for water and battery levels. My suggestion? The big drawer next to the slide out bed step should have a combi microwave in it, as an oven is one thing this van has always lacked. Having it slide out on a drawer and face the kitchen area where it can be used would be perfect.

The vodeo is good, as usual but the van is priced so highly! For that amount I'd want a full motorhome - or a really good Range Rover & top of the range caravan and still have LOTS of money left over.
Great video as always! I always wonder why the sleeper roofs don't have a window or flyscreen so you can look at the stars. 😂

I wish this was available in the US! The only floor plans that are similar and have a Pop-up are on the Promaster chassis which I'm not a fan of.
There is no insulation in a hymer s I have one, peel back the panels and have a look.

Yes really, take a panel off and take a look. Or go in cupboard above fridge access panel and you can touch bare metal.
Andrew, I know you’ve given us great reviews of Diesel heaters, but could you do a special on moving from a TRUMA gas heating / hot water system that I have in my Carthago to what would be needed to move to diesel. Would it be as reliable / quiet? Your expert opinion would be much appreciated

Nice but I would prefer the new Grand Canyon on the more space efficient Ducato. Those chairs and the outside table are really in the way in the Sprinter.

Hi Andrew, these steps are a bit concerning as they seem quite squared. If you got down in the dark or misstepped you could possibly be cut whereas if they were slightly rounded at the front edge that may be less so. A wee bit picky I know

Sadly not.
Several people comment on price and how it can be done cheaper.
It would be interesting to see an itemised analysis of cost for this compared to other similar build or custom builder van.
I did some research lately for MB 4x4 CamperVans around 130k.
There are alternatives (Yucon Peak) or from individual Manufacturers (Rhön Camp Force 4x4, Offtrack Sprinter). The least two having modern toilets, electric kitchen options and more but also at a higher price and above 3,5 t and other downsides...
But comparing those seems to lead to the hymer, being the best package. Imo..
I'm in Germany where I bought a Roadcruiser Revolution new in 2020. 55,000€ taxes in incl. a couple nice options: Awning, Rear Camera with infotainment centre, 110W solar and trailer hitch. Granted it's no Hymer, but boasts several benefits over the Hymer for everyday use. Pössl makes an intelligent and decent quality campervan.

The main disappointment, in my opinion, is that Hymer have chosen two design layouts that are quite bold, dare I say quirky, from what we have been used to. I'm all for bold n quirky as an option but not as the only option. There is also something about the design integrity and continuity that looks unfinished with regards to style. For example, the front cab edges are covered in that 2 way stretch lining often used in home-builds rather than having end panels - presumably a cost saving - and it just doesn't seem to fit the aesthetic. The panels look like stained MDF where you can see the pressed wood chippings. And those little leather loops on the door catches look too fussy and would drive me mad... Apart from that, the outside looks good :-).

Totally overpriced. Buy a new sprinter. You could get something so so much better if you threw 50k at a good van build\ converter.
I thought it’s very cheap because a brand new sprinter is very expensive now.
Yes they are but you can do better getting a good fitter.
A dreadful clingy shower curtain and flimsy drop-down sink, in a 100K to 145K Euro motorhome!👎
