Excellent video! You are correct that it's all about efficiancy especially during the winter months. We mounted three of those connectors into the side of our bus. We then carried two flexible panels with us. With some super hook magnets we wer able to hang the panels on the side of the bus. This setup allowed us to grab two hours of sunlight in the morning before the sun hit our roof panels. With this flexibility we were also able to move the panels to the sun setting side of the bus if our batteries weren't topped off near the end of the day. Better to walk on the ground if you want or need to move panels. Safe travels!

Thanks! Yea, it took us a minute to figure out the Solar "boost" idea, but has really changed the game in Winter.

I just enjoy my RV neighbors faces when they see an Igloo Cooler outside of our Airstream. HA!

So very clever. My RV has a single flex panel on the roof (manufacturer installed) and it is not super efficient, especially in winter. When it dies, I’d like to replace it with a larger rigid panel of greater output. I don’t have an exterior zamp plug and I’m trying to travel with as steamlined a rig as possible, so i’d like to not have panels taking up my storage area. For now, I’m learning about efficient use of my battery power. Seems that’s really different for each rig set-up and each individual power user, so it’s another part of the adventure to learn. It really is “easier” to backpack - carry everything you need on your back and live with what you have, but MAN! I do enjoy the amenities. :-D

Important to identify just how much power a person really uses compared to throwing money at Solar (like we did). Our next purchase will be AGM batteries instead of lead acid.

Looks complicated and might harm my powerstation. I think i'll stick to my original solar charger by Ecoflow.
