Now You Just Need To Convince Them To Leave The Rack Whole.
Meat glue them back together😅
Facts! My face changed when he took out each rib!
Do they turn out better with more bark with the individual ribs? I've cut pork butts into a couple smaller chunks for more bark, and would think beef ribs stay moist given how much fat is in those ribs.
I buy them all the time dude.
Sainsbury Cannock. Sell them
And I can’t walk by without picking them up
What salt and pepper should you buy in the UK for BBQ?
Great to see this, I've been working with JS MFP team to bring stuff like this to their summer bbq range, glad you enjoyed
I remember you starting that Mate :) Unfortunately, I have only ever been able to find 'em twice here in Sunny MK!
@@LittleBearBBQ_Food_Original cheers matey, it's not been easy, but still early days
My new BBQ and smoker arrived yesterday and this is exactly what I needed, I'll be popping to Sainsbury's at lunch time and get smoking!
I've been smoking low and slow bbq in the UK here for over 14 years, way way back. Good to see more stockists in the UK instead of the random butcher somewhere!
Funny that they're hard to find in the UK. They used to be commonly known as English style or English cut ribs in the US.
The Sainsbury's near me has sold these for well over a year now. They did have brisket point, too, for a while.
Yeah I wonder what happened to those point ends they did..was great while that lasted
If everyone who's cooking bbq in the UK just asks the local supermarkets to please sell full sub-primals, they will listen to the demand
The crunch of the bark! wow. I like the salt and pepper dredge, going to give that a try. Thanks.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll check out Sainsbury’s. I always order offline specialist butchers for Beef Ribs, Brisket, Pork Butt and Texas link sausage. Just ordered for next weekend, £170.00 later. Great top quality meat though.
Sainsbury's have had these for quite a while - maybe years. Did some myself back in may, bloody good value for money!
Asda also do mini beef ribs which are a tasty little treat
My absolute favorite to cook and eat. No wrapping or fuss, just put them on the smoker and let it go.
I tried the Sainsbury’s beef ribs for my first cook on my Kamado Kettle Joe; they were brilliant. The only problem is that you don’t know when they are in stock
Hi, love the vids. Very new to smoking and I’m going to try these for my first thing. I have some flavoured wood chunks just abit confused as to when would be best to put the chunk on. Do I light the charcoal wait till they get hot then put the wood on and the meat. Or do I put the meat in and wait to put the wood In
very nice! got a rack wet aging and planning to cook next month
Good idea about the pan for drippings. I saw you do this before, but I didn’t think you used it in that way. Listen to smart people and you’ll get smarter. Thanks David!
I normally go for costco, waitrose do some good quality ones - Morrisons were dire. For UK people - costco coarse black pepper is very slightly finer pepper than 16 mesh - for salt my impression is all content creators are getting diamond crystal kosher for free, its bonkers expensive for salt - saxa fine sea salt seems pretty similar grain sized wise and there's a whole host of other options on the shelves.
Hey dude, love your videos, always click super fast when they are uploaded, always wishing for them to be even longer though!! 🤙🏻
Appreciate that a lot! I really really do! Yeah I absolutely appreciate the videos could be longer. It’s something I’m working on for sure! Soon I’ll have way more time to dedicate to CZcams and film longer content 😊
I've always had no issue getting them at Costco. I think you've cooked the costco plate ribs before? My gut instinct is to think sainsburys quality is worse and that is based on the fact that I find that Costco beef in my opinion is better than chain supermarkets. Your opinion would be welcome having cooked both? Thanks
Dang that looks good, Dave! I do the 'foldy' sammies too...
Looks amazing
You should make some pickled red onions to eat on your bbq samiches.
I've been getting these ribs from Sainsbury's for a couple of years and for about £11/12 for two Dino ribs what's not to like . Like you say though you definitely have to sort out the best ones for even covering of beef AND marveling . I can only manage one rib though they're so rich and filling 👍
Marbeling even 🥴
Ooof am planning on cooking some short rib on Sunday ❤
Awesome 🙌 ❤
Thank’s for watching!
Great video, keep showing uk produce for bbqing. Would u use a cold smoker with a w.s.m or even a weber to get that extra smoke flavour or is it not worth it.
What do you load up your smoke tube with? Pellets, small chunks? I have made ribs like this a few times and am blown away by the intensity of beefiness over brisket, chuck, etc.
Great vid-thanks. What was the cost compared to a rack from online butchers? Thanks again.
I've seen these in my local Sainsbury's for the past year but they've all been vacuum packed to the point of being completely mushed. Nothing like that one! Plus they're all 2 bone ribs only
Great video and they looked great. Be safe
Looks like I chose a good time to visit the UK.
They been doing these for a few years down here. They are normally pretty good for the money to be fair.
Can't beat that 😋
Cheers for watching Duncan!
How do you find cooking individual ribs different from a rack? I did separate ribs a few months back and I found they got pretty dry. Maybe I should try resting in the drippings for 30-45 mins next time. My local Sainsbury's is right next to Farmfoods so between these and the Swift Ribs budget BBQ might be on the horizon!
Hello, have you made a video on making that Leroy&Lewis mustard sauce?
I haven’t but L&L have on their channel!
Lovely. I’ll check my local Sainsbury’s. I got one decently sized one off Amazon Fresh, but as you said, it was overpriced.
I saw that they were selling these on their website and can't seem to find them in the store in my neck of the woods is your branch a big store?
Do you ever see USDA brisket at Costco Dave? Bought them a few times last year but haven't seen for a while. Heard you can ask the butchers there to order them in
Never seen usda brisket in Costco. Only ever seen steaks and other US cuts. Never a packer style brisket unfortunately! Which Costco did you find them at?
@@WilsonsBBQ Got them from Milton Keynes and Leicester branches. Going tomorrow so i will ask what the deal is with them and update you
@@randomstoragespace MK is my closest so definitely let me know what they say!
Now sous vide an uncut pack straight from the store. 😂✌
I bet you they won't do them on my Loughton Sainsbury's, I looked for the brisket when your video came out a while back and went to three different Sainsbury's and nothing...btw how do I get access to your courses?
Nice!
For the algorithms bay bay!!!
Heading to Saino's... Nice.
Ha yes!
Great vid I saw these in sainsburys yesterday :) , looking to go from gas to a pellet grill but dont have a huge budget, was hoping to spend between £500-£700 max really if anyone can reccomend me one thanks
All beef-cattle have these ribs available. Sellers are hoarding and/or hiding them. But the ranchers are critical because they feed and care for the animals - for your beef. And those can vary, as all Texas BBQ masters know. Quality of the beef remains paramount.
How many quid did that dyno-plate cost? Cheers-
ive not had great success with the beef rib or maybe they are just too rich for what im wanting, but they are quick cooks when a brisket and rest just arent in the cards
Waitrose also do those short ribs
eyyy, sounds good :p
They were! It’s a good option if you don’t have a good local butcher, for sure
How much per kilo?
You're in the UK....who uses Fahrenheit in the UK?
Many people - Particularly those who cook American style bbq.
Practically everyone with an american BBQ
My local butcher gets me these at 8£/kg. Support local small businesses people. Dont maje the fat cats fatter!
We've had these where I am for a while. I also ask my local waitrose to save me a 4 bone rack before they cut them into single ribs. They are also really good.
