Why did it take so damn long for these people to speak out against this grifter, why didn't they start long before now? I used to be a Republican. Joined for my first election. I became dismayed seeing the party heading in this direction. Left them, becoming an Independant, decades ago. I went to a meeting then, where they said that the way to take over the government was to start getting their people into every office possible. I admire the principles of this group, but if they are not contributing to the effort to defeat Trump in November, I don't see the point. If they are working to defeat Trump, they should say it: voting for Biden is the only viable alternative to Trump in 2024.

It's not the GOP offering the candidate, it's the MAGA base. The GOP is afraid of the MAGA base. Current GOP Congress members need the support of the MAGA base and Trump controls the MAGA base. The key to defeat Trump in November is to find wedge issues between the MAGA base and Trump.
