  • Xe chuyển bệnh nhân đi cấp cứu từ khách sạn Caravelle về bệnh viện Gia Đình nhưng trên đường đi gặp rất nhiều tình huống xe taxi, xe BMW lẫn xe máy không nhường đường.
    ENGLISH: Seen here is a new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter ambulance of private emergency medical response service 'EMR *9999' responding to an emergency call for a foreign tourist collapsed with a severe allergic reaction in front of Caravelle Hotel in Downtown Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). The man got sick following an inset bite, he was treated at the scene and quickly transported back to the emergency room for further examination. As you can see in the video the response was made much harder due to the majority of motorbikes, taxis, and private cars making little to no effort to move out for the way for us!
    You can see me making use of the horn myself while filming as the call was quite urgent.

    Intense stuff Timboi! For one it's really awesome to see these high quality paramedics in action out there and that the most road users are at least paying attention to you guys; for another, there still are some frustrating moments and I feel the driver really missed a few opportunities to exploit the diversity of the siren to grab attention. But nonetheless an enjoyable, enlightening video and great job on it! Look forward to the future ones :D

      torr szam Yes I am very lucky and honored to ride and work with them :)
      I'm sure that was not a nice experience! ...To be honest with you the urgent emergency rides are quite tense in Vietnam because the traffic conditions make code 3 driving very very dangerous, and people blocking our way all the time makes it frustrating too. But every place is different, you gotta deal with it.

    AWESOME!! Lovely stuff my dude! Shame about the ill-mannered drivers during the video but still a lovely drive by the ambulance driver.

      SCDF Emergency Responses Thanks man! 😎 Yea the *9999 drivers are incredibly good at what they do! It gets frustrating, and as you can hear I used the horn even while filming.

      SCDF Emergency Responses Oh yea, but I wasn't planning to use it actually, had to focus on filming, and didn't want to distract the driver. Next time I ride with them though (very soon) I will use it more!

    Nice one as usual :P
    Unfortunate, but paramedics and ambulance drivers in Asia are usually a lot more patient with uncooperative traffic than their Caucasian counterparts
    We're used to and actually expect others to ignore or try to beat an emergency vehicle that it rarely phases us, that's why sometimes they don't bother with "toying" with the siren unless it's super urgent, of course there are always exceptions lol

    • @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses
      @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses  Před 6 lety

      mlps93 Thanks man!
      Yes you are right, culturally there are of course differences in how emergency situations are approached. Not everything that is done in the West is always 'better', but some strategies can be applied in Asia as well. My point is still this, if you use lights and siren use them properly and urgently at all times. Of course there is still a vast lack of education on how to even react to emergency vehicles on the side of the population, so the ambulance drivers may need to 'teach' that urgency to motorists. At the moment Vietnamese traffic conditions can basically be seen as 'survival of the fittest', for lack of a better term, meaning that the strongest, biggest, loudest, will usually get priority. When sirens are left on continuous soft wail they are simply ignored, more use of the horn however does make a difference (stay tuned for a future upload of mine where I use the horn A LOT) and drivers actually stop and start to give way once that sense of urgency and priority is there. So in my opinion the best thing for ambulance drivers to do in these conditions is to ALWAYS make it urgent with the siren tones/ horn whenever they are responding, that way the population will slowly understand that emergency lights + siren means they should get out of the way. Additionally lights should ONLY be left on in a real emergency, otherwise you only confuse people.

    Why you don't use YELP or PRIORITY in cross to red traffic light?

    • @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses
      @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses  Před 6 lety +2

      Beijing Emergency vehicle fans I am not the driver, it is up to him how to use the siren. Everyone does it differently. I used the horn for our safety, but I didn't want to do more so that I would not distract the ambulance driver. People also don't get out of the way with yelp or priority, but I will try to use it more next time.

    • @beijingvolunteerfirstaider2203
      @beijingvolunteerfirstaider2203 Před 6 lety +1

      OK, don't misunderstand, I'm not educating you, just hope every timeresponding are safety. After all use YELP or PRIORITY can better remind other drivers.

      @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses  Před 6 lety +2

      Beijing Emergency vehicle fans Don't worry I know what you mean, I'm just telling you that I did not have a choice about the siren use in this case. But I totally agree that it would have been much safer to use different tones for these scenarios. 👍🏼

      Arpeggioshredder It's actually a beautiful place to live. Thanks to EMR *9999, the service you see in this video, it has become a lot safer. You now have a number you can call in an emergency, and hopefully the people will become more aware of emergency vehicles with some time.

      Arpeggioshredder You get used to the 'organized chaos'. If you're looking for a travel destination Vietnam is in my opinion the most interesting place to see in Southeast Asia!
