This lesson covers the Pythagorean Theorem, which states that the sum of the squares of the lengths of the legs of a right triangle is equal to the square of the length of the hypotenuse, or a^2 + b^2 = c^2. This just proves teachers care more about how long we spend on work then how quickly and efficiently we can learn it and do it. I am a strong believer we don’t need to be at school for 7+ hours 5 days a week. She literally just explained my 2h 30 math class too me in literally less then 2 minutes. They probably want to teach for a good portion of the class so that they don't leave students with tons of freetime to generate a disturbance. There are other filler materials to pass time, but hey their choice of filler material I guess.
You could also just make classes shorter or cover more material.

I don't think my teacher was bad at teaching math I think it was the fact I was 13 years old and in math class at 8:30am barely awake with other kids distracting the class and where I stayed up the night before until midnight playing video games and was on a fresh diet of pizza and boxed Mac and cheese to fill my thinking juices. This is just the reality of the education system and how it needs some rethinking. This is the last thing young kids want to learn lol. As an adult I came here voluntarily to learn this for practical reasons and I learned it quickly and absorbed the information thoroughly.

You can also know that since it's square (90°), you can always just subtract the square(90) from the 2 side you multiplied and squared . 100-90=10

I'm in my 40's and I was good at this when I was in elementary school, I dropped out of highschool but learned to play pool so I can practice trigonometry , putting trigonometry into actual use is playing pool and snooker because as you practice,your pattern recognition ability will improve,I also recommend watching pro's play prior to trying to practice for training purposes.
