- Today storm and Echo absolutely amazing border collie sheepdogs work as a team to complete a very important and intense herding operation
These is the first time the young sheep have went this route on the farm and are not sure what is happening
Both dogs have to work hard to get the sheep going in the right direction before a slow walk down the lane topped of with a very intense road crossing
Wow.that was breathtakingly intense and awe-inspiring, those dogs are unbelievable. . Thank you for allowing us to be part of it
You all work so well as a team and it's lovely to see Storm and Echo anticipate what the sheep are about to do and rake action to keep the sheep safe. ❤
It's absolutely brilliant watching these dogs work. Imagine if you could only use two men for the same job.
Definitely saves time
@@LindaC616 🤣🤣 And who would want to watch THAT?
My grandma's old dog took a nasty cow kick to the head and refused to help with cattle anymore. It was my job to bring the herd in from the pasture and sometimes they didn't want to...it would get very entertaining until one day the dog had had enough at laughing, came streaking by me, moved the cattle towards the gate, then went back to the yard. : D@@ac1646
@@ac1646 it could be a great comedy sketch! 😂😂
@@julieobrien4056 Yes it would! Hadn't thought of that. Monty Python springs to mind 🤣🤣
LOVINS BORDERCOLLIES so smart, lovely, fast running, working hard.
Brilliant vid. Shows why when out walking one should leave gates as one finds them!!
Great advice. The rule of the country. 🙂🐑🐏💜
Wow Echo has really come on! Stormy was always wonderful of course, but Echo has really found his feet 🤗
Echo is becoming an amazing good herding dog! He's gotten to be totally tuned into the livestock and Sean both. Storm is great as always! Awesome team
Both complement each other so well. Also cute how Storm sits when she has gotten near the sheep even without a command. The way Echo followed the away command when they were in a confined space was so impresive too.
Thank you
What a beautiful thing to see the work ethics of the dear border collie
The dogs are amazing and incredibly valuable but I'm always impressed with how you read the flock-- knowing when to press, when to back off, where to send the dogs etc., clearly a great skill. Love your content thanks for sharing.
I love the way you've written that! 'Read the flock' is the new 'read the room'. 😁😁
I love watching the dogs. But also Sean is so talented with his commands. The dogs looking at him intently waiting for his command is so inspiring.
Thank you for sharing.
I was thinking the same thing. Smart dogs are usless without a smart human. Great team!
Merci de partager cette incroyable travail de vos excellent boder. J adore.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Bravo.
Props to YOU Sean. Storm and Echo do their manoeuvres under _your_ guidance; you have to do the thinking. It's fascinating that your collies know what to do in a simple setting and can do it by themselves with minimum guidance from you, but this was way more complex. You could tell they were concentrating so hard; anticipating the sheep's (individual sheep and the flock) movements and listening for your commands. Team work at it's finest. ✌✌
Well said.👍🏻
Absolutely amazing! Thank you👍
It may have been an intense situation but you and your brilliant dogs made it look easy.
Hi Sean, great team work. Thanks for sharing.
Brilliant. Watching this with my rescue Border Collie Hughie!
Amazing teamwork! 👏🏻🐾❤️ Storm and Echo love you!
Definitely there was tension this time. I was sitting here in Colorado USA, leaning forward, muscles tight. Urging the dogs on. I’m used to relaxing when watching your shows and going with the flow and rhythm of the dogs’ movement. Even though I knew everything would be fine, I was still tense. It was a brilliant show, and the explanations up front really made it work beautifully. I wouldn’t want that kind of stress all the time though... probably no more than you or the dogs.
This was a challenging situation, but the intrepid Storm and Echo prevailed. Love watching the three of you working together.
Meanwhile, my dog barks to alert me of the "suspicious school kids" walking to school. 😀 I love him anyway.
My Pembroke Welsh Corgi barks at leaves blowing in the wind! LOL😂
I'm watching too many of your videos. On your final "that'll do" , I sat down!
😂😂😂
Brilliant!!😂😂
Me, too! An involuntary reaction... I must be "well trained." 😂😊
So true.😂
So so so funny
That was great. Thank you for always praising your good dogs. You are like an orchestra conductor. Nice job!
Sean, you almost broke into 'Rawhide' 😁😁
His "whssht!" *does* sound like the Rawhide whip! 😅
I was waiting for a "yee hah".🤠
Yes Blues Brothers vibe guys 😆
It's YOU who trained those dogs, right Sean? The skill set it takes to teach a dog how to be a reliable herding animal must not be underestimated. When you speak of the brilliance of these border collies, you must also give honorable mention to the teacher. Kudos to you for your hard work and success. Your dogs are truly magnificent.
It almost looks like Storm and Echo appreciate a job that requires more complex thinking. They are always so happy when they finish each herding episode, but this time they seemed particularly proud of themselves! Thank you Sean for creating and sharing these stunning videos of your magnificent dogs, the poetry of their relationship with you, and the splendid backdrop of rugged rural Scotland! Your manner of presentation is that of a masterful teacher. We are learning so much about herding, different breeds of sheep, different breeds of dogs, the natural landscape, history and archeology of your area! As a field archeologist in my younger days I did my share of outdoor work in nasty weather, but will admit I am happy now, to watch you and your brilliant black and white "Most Valuable Players" from inside my warm house in Arkansas, US! I look forward to all of your videos with great anticipation. You go!
Thank you so much
Those dogs knew what they were doing and followed your commands so well.Great job done by all in a very intense situation ❤️❤️❤️
Echo seems to have gotten better at listening to directions since I first started watching. Sean it’s amazing how much you can do with the dogs.
That was absolutely amazing video - Possibly my favourite video so far ❤ - I really felt like i was part of team and thank you for the extra explanations about the situation and context!! 🙏💚💚
They both did an amazing job, especially on that turn, amalways amazed they dont get etepped on when they go 'into' the herd like that 😮💚
Well put. This was a GREAT video. 🙂⭐️💜
Brilliant. Just brilliant. Felt like the most realistic one yet. I mean, they are all videos of farming life, but I bet there are many different dicy situations we don't get to see. This one was action packed and goodness, you are every bit as skilled a shepherd as your exceptional dogs. What a team! You three deserve treats after that.
Only one blacksheep? This definitely shows the skills required to keep the 'sheep blob' moving along....bravo! ❤
We have just had sheep dog trials in our small town your dogs are great ❤
Agree
Beautiful work by all of you. The dogs 🐕🐕 are great. 😊❤
After moving the sheep into the last field, the dog closest to you kept looking back at you for approval. Your dogs are amazing and obviously have full confidence in you.
Great video! Thanks for the explanation of what we were about to see-very helpful. The dogs and you are amazing. Yes, that was very tense in a couple of places. Cannot imagine how stressful it must be to herd livestock across a roadway. Good job all!
I wish I had a life like yours ❤🥺
It looks like sometimes the dogs know what to do before you tell them. Beautiful, intelligent and very fast breed of dogs. Love these videos, you make a hard job look relatively easy. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍👍👍💜💙❤️
Impressive and very intense. Your collies are very well trained.
Sean,
Hello again from Kentucky! What a fantastic video (and by the other comments, they think so too)! I truly enjoy watching you, Storm and Echo working so well together. I especially like when the dogs anticipate your command and, of course, when they look back to you for reassurance.
Thanks for bringing us along for the ride. 🐑🐑🐑
So intense getting those sheep from the field down that path! Both dogs worked hard and clearly love their jobs based upon their smiles jumping on your bike. Great job, Sean with this video's narration. Best to Stacey.
Their posture "waiting to go" at the beginning, excellent work moving the sheep, then the satisfied looks on their faces, back on the bike!
Excellent! Loved this! 👏
Brilliant! Such lovely clever dogs ❤
So often Storm would anticipate the commands by just a second. The whole video was amazing.
Amazing the dogs only use their presence to make the sheep move in the direction they want them to go. You never hear not even one bark . They did a fantastical job all in silence. ❤
First minute or so, looks like the dogs have become sheep magnets!
Storm and Echo are magic! They work so well togther and respond to commands in a second. Thank you for sharing. That'll do!😊
I grew up on a family farm in Virginia, US with a small herd of cattle. I love seeing this. Thank you so much for sharing. It is easy to get hurt working a farm. Be careful.
Nice work! Great team of Sean and Echo and Storm, handled it like champs!
I was on the edge of my seat!!!
Wow what a job well done considering the sheep seemed a bit resistant. Echo and Storm get an A+. Looking forward to more. Job well done Sean! ❤❤❤
Always amazing to see you & your team work so well together. Your intense herding seemed to go seamlessly. Thank you for your videos. Susie
Another great video Sean! , love to see you all working as a team and to see the dogs running.
All the best from Yorkshire 👍👍
Great to watch Storm and Echo are heroes and your no so bad yourself Sean.
Scottish by chance? 🙂
I love your dogs! I believe I saw Echo a time or two glancing over at his mommy maybe watching her for direction. Stormie is precious and I love watching mom and son together. I was looking for Echo to jump up on the sheep’s backs and run up to the front and find out what the holdup was! “Get a move on sheep! Not the time to stop and chitchat!” Thank you, Sean, and our best to Stacey.
Great video, really showing how Storm and Echo work as one, taking the sheep right where they need to go. I think it was one of the best that they have done so far. They listened to every thing you said and didn't waver once that I could see. Working sheep that don't know where they are going, rely on the dogs. You can see the hard work you've done with them, is really paying off! All three of you worked magic today. Wish I had your talent
Sean you are quite THE master! Echo has certainly come along. That was quite the flock!
Got my heart rate up and got me clapping at the end🙂 Those pups look so happy.
I can see why you needed 2 dogs. Brilliant work.
I love it those dogs are so smart and they’re so willing to please and make you happy that it makes them happy. They’re the smartest dogs in the world no doubt.
Amazing how they work closely not just with you but with each other - they can't talk to each other but they don't need to! What a trio you all are. If only the sheep could appreciate how much you do for them😄
Now…if you could only get them to close the gates too. Lol 🇨🇦
It appears at the very end they looked very happy with themselves and that they did a good job!! ❤❤
That was fantastic. Both yourself & Echo & Storm did really well……& the dogs knew it . They looked so pleased at the end there they seemed to congratulate one another ❤
Got my adrenaline going! What a challenge! Storm and Echo are working SO well together. Between your masterful direction and their own instincts, this was incredible to watch! What a team. ❤
Thank you
What an exciting episode. You, Storm and Echo did an excellent job. I've never seen a move across a road go more swiftly and more cleanly. Good job!. ❤❤❤
Awesome!! I did not know this is something I need to understand but I do!! Thanks so much Sean for showing us your world and these wonderful animals ❣️ Yes, it is intense and the dogs are doing a great job🏴🥰
Glad it was helpful!
Wonderful job! It was tricky and the dogs listened and handled it beautifully.❤
You’ve got two brilliant dogs that are 100% dedicated to their job❗️🤗😊🥰
Beautiful how you all work together.
Big hugs for the Storm and Echo 🥰🐾
Tears in my eyes here. I have a border collie mix. Your dogs make me appreciate her even more. At the moment, she just herds me, my coonhound, and some cats. 🙂
I love watching the dogs' instant reaction to your commands. They are phenomenal!
Love watching the dogs herd. You've trained them well. They love you & they love pleasing you. Have a peaceful rest of your weekend. ❤❤❤
Wow!! That was Awesome!! Getting all those sheep over several field, a bull and public road!! Superb workmanship by you and the dogs!!
So impressive! Both dogs were amazing, and it’s so cool to see their love of herding and work!
Intense! Echo has become a great listener. Storm anticipates and listens. She reminds me of Kate now. 😅
I do love watching them work for you.
There's nothing like a Border Collie!❤
Thank you
Awww. They were so chuffed at the end! What a dynamic duo these two are. They did brilliantly.
Simply marvelous! Especially the end when the two dogs are on your ATV, they are SO happy and thrilled. They know they did a good job and that you’re pleased with them, that’s all they live for. A dog doesn’t ask for anything else. 💕🥰💕🥰💕
Brilliant work by Echo and Storm, they follow your commands so well !
Such a joy to watch them herding and returning to the bike, with big smiles on their faces.
Another great Sunday night watch on the big screen here in Brisbane Australia. 🇦🇺
Thank you for sharing !
Thanks
Wow! Amazing job these two pups can do! This was a difficult one. They are great!
Thanks for showing us how problematic it can be when the sheep in the front stops moving.
Oh my gosh, that WAS intense, I was on the edge of my seat worrying, great work! I had nothing to worry about because you are so great at your job as are Echo and Storm. Earlier in the video when the sheep were heading down that curve in the path was also intense and incredible. The farmer who hired you is very lucky.
I was pretty tense ..............what a great job to all of you.............
Thanks a ton
Bitter sweet for me cuz I had an Australian shepherd named Storm, for 15 years. She passed from cancer. Looked like your Storm but had a docked tail.
How I wish God would give beloved dogs and pets longer lives.
That's my prayer too. All the best to you.
Storm thinks for herself. She reads what’s happening. Beautiful
I could watch this all day, love the dogs. They truly love their job.
You have done such an amazing job with your dogs. I could watch them work all day.
Incredible. You're not only watching the dogs and directing them, but you're also focusing on how the sheep are herding, knowing when the bottlenecks are there, which the dogs don't, and you manage it all so safely! Echo is definitely getting more of the hang of listening to you and not being as 'gung-ho' to do his own thing. I see a bit of Storm still wanting to do her own thing at times, but she's also doing better, and they both definitely listen and obey your commands. Such a beautiful artistry to herding a bunch of sheep for such a distance, knowing that they'll be nervous, and fully taking that into a count. Simply beautiful.🤩🤩
Brilliant. Brought back memories of 2022 when I went to visit my family in North Wales, watching the farmer and his dogs herding the sheep was absolutely amazing, especially for a city person.😊
Thank you
I've never seen the dogs work that hard!! That was quite a WORK OUT for the dogs and sheep ! Those sheep did not want to move....they looked very confused. But, Sean, you really did a great job keeping it under control! Good job, man !!
That was amazing! Storm and Echo worked so well together to move those sheep. You’ve done a great job with them, Sean. Please keep the videos coming. 😊
Stunning workmanship, you and the dogs!!! Absolutely amazing every time I watch. I especially liked how one dog turned so quick at 3:56. Crazy stop, turn and GO!!!!
Absolutely love watching you & the dogs interacting! They are so well trained & love to work with you. Thank you for letting me see it. Live in Texas with a son named Sean
What more can I say, these dogs, Storm and Echo, are magnificent,. You treat your dogs well and they love you for it.
Absolutely mesmerizing to watch your 2 wonderful dogs do their job. This video made my day!
Fantastic coordination between Storm and Echo. Inspiring heeding your commands and exercising their understanding of what is expected of them. I especially appreciate seeing your dogs working in the weather and getting wet. Here in Florida, we are on the second day of nonstop rain, 50s in the day and 40s at night temperatures (Fahrenheit), and we have been concerned about our two kenneled border collies in this "rough" weather. LOL. I feel reassured they can handle it and probably a lot more than we realize. Thanks for sharing your lives.
Yeah they don’t mind a bit of rain
The dogs did a great job. I noticed Echo checking back with you towards the end after crossing the road. Storm was so happy to have done a good job. It’s a salute to your brilliant training the way the dogs handled those sheep. 😀
Wow! Thanks for sharing this. I just love the team work, those amazing dogs and you. Cheers from Canada!
Absolutely brilliant! 😮 The respect and trust between you, Echo and Stormy is evident in your videos and it is awe inspiring!! I Loved every moment of this video, it was wonderful to see a difficult situation handled so beautifully. ❤ Great job all three of you!!❤ Hello from BC Canada!
Loved it💜💜💜 storm is so on top of those sheep. She never stopped watching even anticipated your commands, shes a keeper! 💜💜💜💜 ecco is very eager hes my pick , he wants to please you so bad 💜💜💜💜
where is Kate? Is she too old now? Maybe she would have made it worse but she always seems to know what to do. Love Kate!!! 😍
Wow! They are so intelligent & hard working. They just amaze me every time I watch. You have trained them so well.
Amazing to see the dogs work, job well done! I live in the US and we have no sheep in my area. I grew up with horses and I have always had dogs but they were only pets, never had working dogs. I am amazed and fascinated each and every time I watch them work! Storm and Echo are well trained and so in tune with you and you are in tune with them 🤯 it’s just amazing! I love your videos, thank you for sharing with us!
Bloody marvellous how the three of you controlled an apparently challenging move! So impressive how Storm and Echo watch each other while working. I love these videos, thanks a heap for demonstrating how herding is really done, and for doing it so well.
This is the best video I've watched. The sheep are herded with skill, the dogs follow every command, and the dogs have a job that they enjoy. Well done. Please post more videos!❤
I never tire of how you work as a team and how they work together.
I thought you and your dogs work really hard. Can't imagine being a farmer. Really hard work! I'm 70, I am semi retired from nursing asst. work, work 2hrs. a day just feeding and lite typing, now. Did this for 46 years. You and your family work really hard. God Bless!
You and your Dogs are must watch episodes-the love of your dogs for you-the scenery…I could go on and on. Brilliant
That was INCREDIBLE 🙌🙌🙌 Both Echo and Storm were outstanding 👏 👌
Thanks a ton!
@@seanthesheepman5845 they're a huge credit to you, and Kate of course 👏 👍
That was epic! When the sheep were jammed up in that narrow path I was sure that they wouldn’t move - but the dogs pressured them through. Good that the bull was occupied with more important matters. Thanks for filming this, Sean!
