How to get easy everyday loose curls on short hair using a curling wand. This is a tutorial on how to curl short hair. If you have short hair or want to have a hairstyle that is easy, simple, and fast then finding ways to curl your short hair wouldn't be too complicated. Having a natural flare may need some practice on doing but it’s really just about mastering the technique. I love using my L’ange 25mm Ondlue for this hairstyle. If you have a bob haircut like me I recommend this size of hair wand. If your hair is longer go up a barrel size for those easy loose curls. Enjoy!

I prefer a curling wand to curl my hair. The curls last for days and I use a rope wrap too.

I need help with products- my hair is fine, thin, dull and chin length. I need volume and I would like some wave to it.... I usually just blow dry and go- don’t have time to style or curl it....
Diffuser - my wavy hair does this naturally, but very thick and never dries otherwise! Love a little Aveda leave-in conditioner on the ends and mousse at the roots.

I recently found your tutorials and love them! I love the looks you achieve but I struggle. I’ve never been much for product and I have always lived with lazy styles that don’t require much work. I still get the best, longest lasting (several days) curls from the Conair Fashion Curl automatic curler! Curls relax some each day, but rarely need to touch up.

I try very hard I can never get a curl with a flat iron I use a curling iron it make a very loose curl to me I have medium to long hair or I use the that wand which comes to very small at the end also lasts for like one hour and then straight again or like a slight wave at the end

Hi Jocelyn, LOVE YOUR HAIR!! my hair is wavy Thick & Heavy..... lob cut right below the collar bone with longer layers & it still will go flat after a few hours, no matter what I use & curl with, I do like the beach wavy style, just ordered the Lange dou to style, i do use a heat protect spray before drying hair, also I use a Living Proof Root lifter that works well on me, & Living proof mutli tasker for the messy look, but they don't sell that anymore, so sad about that, do you have another product you can recommend that's not sticky (I hate sticky) I like my hair soft & touchable & full of volume.

Wand and similar to what you are doing. Do you have layers? I use protection, mouse and either L’ange dry shampoo, Healium Fiber Flex or hairspray. I have the L’ange wand,too. Waiting on the 60mm le Volume.

I have a cone wand and I love curls but my hair is fine, and thin and I really want to keep it as "safe" as possible so I do not blowdry it at all.... and then I often struggle with that the curls do not last very long. I can get the first layer of curls done well. But when I try to do the next layer of hair, it gets tangled with the layer I just curled. How do you avoid that?

Great video thanks so much. After doing a search on the L'ange website, I can't find Slat & Sea Texturizing Spray and no texturizing spray at all. Also I've heard that in general these salt & sea texturizing sprays have alcohol which isn't good for frizzy hair. My hair is frizzy from gray hair, which I color . Can you make a recommendation for a thick head of fine hair in the crown area; sides are thin due to weird hairline? Appreciate your response.
Hey Shirley! The Salt & Sea spray is still there on L'ange's site and they've got a Salt & Sea pomade now too if a spray isn't what you'd like to use! I keep a flat iron & 1 1/2” curling iron out & ready - I want a want but the only one I have is tapered and my hair slides to the part that’s toooo small. -
I have a question though. My hair is very very fine, thick as heck but very fine. I’ve tried a few different heat protection dry mist oils but any oil I’ve tried just leaves my hair flat and lifeless. Why do you put the light oil in after curls? And does it flatten yours out too? What am I doing wrong?
I like to put the oil in after my curls to smooth things out and loosen the curls a little bit, but it definitely doesn't flatten out my curls! How do you keep your curls from falling in the humidity? I have plenty product in my hair and I use hairspray. I have naturally wavy/curly hair but I straighten and then curl so I can control my curl better.

I recently got the Le duo and I absolutely love it! I cannot for the life of me (for years) get my curls to last more than the day I curl it! I have tried every product imaginable! I wake up in the morning and my curls are gone and my hair is flat! I use a silk pillowcase but that hasn’t helped either! I hate the damage to my hair curling it every day! Help!

I wonder if the lack of curl ability is from your cut, im not a stylist but I myself have the same problem lately and I have naturally curly hair! I realized after a few cuts that the stylist has been texturizing, by point cutting g and slide cutting, it takes forever and ever to grow out.

I know it's awful to wash my hair everyday. But I have to, I workout so hard it must be washed with soap. What are some products I should use when I want to dress up on the weekends? I protect my hair when I use heating tools but maybe lack texture and volume products like you mentioned.
No damage or breakage. Just fine but a lot of hair!
Hey gorgeous! I would recommend trying to go at least 1 day between washes. This might sound strange but you can actually blow dry your hair after working out and then add some dry shampoo to freshen it up!💕

What’s the difference between a wand and a curling iron?

Usually I do 390-410 degrees. 360 degrees when I use the Le Duo. I will lower it if I want to get a looser curl.

370-400 - it's different for every hair type though. I have thin hair but a lot of it. If you have thinner hair make sure to use a lower heat.

Anxiety off the charts. Can’t wait for everything to be over so we can hopefully get back to normal, whatever that may be. And I’m afraid I’ll burn my hand with a wand so I use a curling iron or flat iron, depending on how loose I want my curl.
Did you know the Lange wands come with a heat resistant glove?? The glove is awesome to prevent burns for beginners!

It wasn't this easy when I started, but practice makes all the difference. If you have troubles with burning your fingers/hands, you can snag a heat glove to protect yourself :)
