Its goal is to remind Helldivers of what we fight for and to continue the fight in the name of Democracy!
“In the name of liberty / I’ll put a crack in the bell” referencing the liberty bell, but it was cracked when it was first rung. I feel like this should have some deeper meaning, but it feels like it is just a reference
There are two meanings , one is a reference to the story that the bell was shot with a cannon bringing up the violence by which freedom may be won and the second meaning is that the helldivers are willing to violate what some may see as principles of democracy for the good of the people and super earth.
Seeing as this traitor made propaganda for the bots, I think he was implying that Super Earth is undemocratic and lacks liberty.

I’ve been waiting for this since they offhandedly mentioned it on twitter, and BOY did it not disappoint. as much as I love larping with everyone about democracy and liberty I actually really like this sorta cynical approach. it’s like the internal monologue of a helldiver who’s actually survived a couple missions and realized how truly corrupt their world is
Yeah, this does give off that vibe. It's like I'm listening to a song written by Zach from mikeburnfire. It has the whole "I know the full truth, but also that I will be silenced if I speak up"
The song strikes me as being from the POV of multiple Helldivers to show how numerous and varied we are. All are veterans but took it differently. Some veterans realize how dystopian their world is and should only watch out for themselves, with some going MIA and deserting. While other veterans took their survival as proof of invincibility and became even more fanatical and hateful of enemies and traitors of Super Earth.
