Holm's kicks are slow, if you watch her fights where she get knockouts from kicks it's usually in like the 3rd round and the opponents are exhausted and can't move quick enough to defend themselves.

Women's mma is at the same point men's mma was when it first started. It hasnt evolutionized to the point where mens mma is right now after 20+ years. I know they're trying to sell the fight and everything but for them to declared that Ronda is the p4p fighter of all time is just ridiculous. Is Ronda good, no, she's freaking great! Are her opponents good, no, they're trash. Let me paint a picture, if Jon Jones, Connor Magregor, Cain Velasquez would have fought at the same lever they are fighting right now 20 years ago their fights would have been just like Rondas, 20 seconds or less. Let me put it in more simple words, given the fact how evolutionized men's mma is right now in the UFC, if there are a total of 400 male fighters in the UFC, out of those 400 at least 300 are very competitive and only about 50 are very unique. Now as far as on the women's side, let's say there are a total of 140 females fighters in the ufc, out of those 140 only 2 are unique right now, Ronda and Joanna.

am a ronda fan but dont shit on holm, she is good at catching mistakes, people rushin in. look at her fights outside the ufc. ronda does not usually go for a single or double. wonder if holm will be kicking a lot at range, safe out of the judo zone.
yeah but it's the mental aspect of the build up that she's fighting the VERY best. The game plan can go right out the window when ur on ur back and the person ur fighting is out classing the shit out of you, and it's not just some bitch from some local gym. Obviously you don't even spar at an MMA gym.

I can definitely see Holm being able to set up some devastating head kicks with her hands, and people seem to sleep on her boxing pedigree. She's clearly the better pure striker of the two, and I think that has Ronda a bit worried. But Ronda isn't the champion for nothing. She has more octagon experience and will probably keep her nerves in check better the Holm. I just don't see Ronda out striking Holm. If she wins I see it being by arm bar finish.

I understand that UFC wants to sell the fights, but the way they're trying to sell JJ vs Letourneau is not believable at all! Saying they're close in striking level? This is a joke. They could have easily said: "every opponent of JJ constantly wanted to take he down, Valerie will stand and strike wit her, so this will be exciting!" Much more believable, while just as exciting, if you ask me...
Can't wait to see Joanna throw down again. I love watching very very high level Thai Boxing in a MMA setting. Her striking is so fun to watch.

I'm watching for not just the ladies, but there's a huge heavyweight rematch that I'm pumped for. Bigfoot vs Hunt omg will be good. Plus Uriah Hall takes another fight on short notice.
UFC 193 is an awesome card imo. You're looking for great fights: watch Hunt vs Bigfoot 2 and Whittaker vs Hall. Those are the fights to watch. I even think Rousey vs Holm is going to be interesting. Holm has tools none of Rousey's opponents ever had. Rousey & Joanna are there to watch if you like superior technique. And the PPV opener with Stefan Struve is always fun to watch win or lose. All in all its a great PPV.
Anything can happen in a fight. Remember when Lauzon beat Jens Pulver. Lauzon was age 18 in his first UFC fight. Every fight of Ronda's is her most dangerous, since it ain't over yet. Same with JJ. That's her nickname, btw, JJ.
I think Gadelha is the only one in strawweight capable of beating Jedrzejckzyk, i think Letorneau will be a stroll in the park for her... And if there is any woman in the UFC with a chance of beating Rousey is Holm for sure, its a small chance, but its there, Holly is a good striker, to this day Ronda never got a really powerful hit in the chin, or a head kick. Besides Holm the only woman fighter in the planet in a level close to Ronda Rousey, is Cris Cyborg but she not in the UFC and its a different weight class so that's a topic for another discussion.
