Very helpful video, I got mines for Christmas, and im now just opening it lol. Thanks for the review it was hard to find one.
Glad I could help!
Great review, thank you!! 😸
was looking to get this for my girlfriend for valentines day since she loves to take pictures. Really helpful video thank you!
Great! So glad to help!
Great review have second thoughts about buying one now
So glad I can help!
I have the Kodak mini. Had it for a few years. It’s color is very good for a portable printer. It does run the picture thru and add the layers of colors. I find if you watch for deals on the paper on amazon or other stores you can get a deal and it’s not too pricey and you can stock up. But the canon SELPHY and other ones are good too. It’s never gonna be like printing with a laser printer or where you can calibrate the color perfectly.
I print photos on my printer and cut them. On my canon and my Kodak. All work great
Awesome! Good advice. And yeah, I think this printer will just serve for when I need a photo in a pinch.😊
Thank you! 💖
My Smile broke the day after I wrote my comments. Only one year old and I hadn't really been using it. Decided to buy a Step and it is so much better. Feels sturdier than the smile. Prints great and easier to put the paper in.
trying to figure out what the difference is between this one and the slim printer which is $30 cheaper ??
Thank you so much for the review! I was on the fence about this one and think it’s a no! I’d rather order from Walgreens or Walmart and have beautiful pictures. Plus they’re cheaper!
I agree, when I need a bunch of photos I will probably go with Walgreens, but in a pinch, this will do!😊
You can increase the color contrast so it compensates for the fading
Oh, I didn't know! Thank you so much!
CreatewithMandy Did it work?
That colour would really bother me! I have a cannon selphy and I love it!!
yeah... not a fan of the color thing, the convenience is what is nice though- and it's fast. :)
@@CreatewithMandy Have you tried a different type of paper?? I mean like using the Canon paper or HP. I've seen a review on different Zink paper and with the Kodak printer, the Canon Ivy zink paper was coming on top.
I have the sprocket and it doesn’t print the best quality either as far as vibrancy. Kinda disappointing, but it’s nice to have for memory keeping and instant photos.
Really? I just saw a comparison of photos from a fellow squad member and the sprocket looked much better side by side. Interesting 🤔
Maybe?! It could be better but I notice the vibrancy like yours, isn’t as great and I get this blueish hue on my photos.
I was seriously considering buying this printer, but the colour quality just isn't there! Thank you for this video!
You’re welcome! Ya the color was a surprise!
i just loaded my printer with the paper it came with and i tried printing a picture and it says it only works with the kodak paper but i used the paper they provided in the box. i dont know if its not working because its on the charger and the red dot is lit up on the side but pls help!
I’m not an expert, haha. But it may be that the red light is on. Or possibly you have the paper loaded upside down or something like that🤷🏼♀️ it also asks for the blue sheet to be loaded first as some type of “test sheet” or something like that. Hope that helps 🙂
@@CreatewithMandy ohh!! So that's why it wasn't worry. Thank you!
I am having issues getting it to connect to my Samsung phone. I just bought a new phone and it still will not connect. No problem connecting to my IPad. Any suggestions?
Actually, I was having the same problem recently, I only connect it to my iPad now… seems like a problem with their app.
Well I no longer have to worry because it broke when I tried to open it yesterday. The slider has snapped off on the left hand side and it won't open. I missed the cut off for the warranty so I have now bought a Kodak step.
Go into filters and try Gamma!
Thanks!
Mine got jammed and I can’t find a way to I jam it. I turn it off and on again and but nothing changes and I can’t pull it out either
I have the Kodak Mini which uses D2T2 dye diffusion thermal transfer technology using three colors (cyan, magenta, and yellow) to create 16.7 million colors with ink that will not fade and that lasts for longer than 10 years under normal storage conditions. It also offers a protective overcoating layer. The prints are definitely better quality than zinc type printers including this one. Sadly, Kodak has decided to stop supporting the Kodak Mini which uses better ink technology by no longer providing the ink and paper for it. I have two of the Kodak Mini's and once I am out of their ink cartridges + paper they will no longer be useable which is upsetting. I have decided to purchase the Kodak Mini 2 which uses the same type of ink as the Kodak mini.
Wow, I didn’t this! So informative! Yeah, I’m afraid the photos will fade eventually and that will be sad
They don’t sell ink cartridges anymore? I was thinking about getting the Kodak mini 2 but I’m not sure, especially if they don’t make the ink cartridges anymore.
