I'm new to the RV world and thought I was doing this correctly but I must be missing something. Recently purchased a keystone avalanche 390ds with 50amp service. Paralleled two cummins 4500s with 50amp parallel kit and I'm not having any luck getting them to run the 15k BTU a/c. They try to start it but will not keep it going. I tried turning everything off and even tried just using one gen with a 50mp adapter with no luck. The gens have no issue running the 13500 unit. I ordered a soft start kit and hoping that will do the trick as I'm planning on using the RV this weekend at my daughters softball tournament.

More at sea level and cooler weather easier to start those roof top AC's. I have converted to dual fuel on most of my generators. And with propane you can run bigger tanks or smaller tanks and paralell propane hoses for a long run time. July 2021 propane $1.99 a gallon. Propane fuel - no carb problems ever, no constantly starting, no hard starts, longer between oil changes and spark plug changes, no winterize, no fuel treatment, no clogged spark arrestor, no fouled black carbon spark plug, no black carbon in engine, engine on propane lasts 2-3 times longer, little quieter on propane, propane one of the cleanest burning fuels out their. You can put a engine away for years come back and will still start on propane.

_Yeah they are and look like my Westinghouse 4500 Generator. 4500 is only its surge, the actual max running watts are 3700 or 3800 I believe. I know I really like mine, but still, nothing holds a candle towards my Hynudia 2800 SEI, that including Honda or Yamahas'. Hyundai has outperformed Firman 3200, and my Honda, plus my buddies Yamaha. I replace the Firman 3200 with the 4500 Westinghouse, so far, I really like the generator, but time will tell. No matter the generator, they're two key factors that prolong any generator! 1) Breakin time for about 3 to 4 hours of run time, then half load for an hour, and bump it to a full load for about 30 minutes, back to half load for 30 minutes, and a cool down for an hour of run time. Change oil, and your good to go! Lots of time, yes! but well worth it, all engines no matter the size needs a breaking period. 2) Is Maintenance; sounds simple, but hard for most to do!_

I have converted a few generators over to dual fuel propane and gasoline. I talked to fuel companies about the 2500 with the 98cc engine. The fuel conversion companies thought you could if from what I have seen you have enough room in the enclosed generator case. The propane adapter plate installs between CARBERATOR and air cleaner. They also want to know the distance between the CARBERATOR studs. One dual fuel conversion company was not to nice to deal with and their are only about 5 or 6 fuel conversion companies left in business.

I have two of the newer Hondas that are 2200 watts surge & 1800 continues watts. Since they have internal fuel pumps, I bought a six gallon extended fuel tank. With both units running I have 8 gallons total. That goes a long time. I installed the micro-aire soft starts & can EASILY start up my 9,200 & 13,500 but air conditioners.
With the 13,500 btu only I can run one Honda with the six gallon tank for a long time.
