A second SP harvesting head for Even Forestry Ltd.
Last year the team added a 14T Kobelco HarvaDig to their fleet with a 561LF head… and after running this set-up since early 2022, the decision was taken to fit the same model of head to their John Deere 1170G purpose-built harvester.
Here’s some video from our recent on-location install, where one of our regional engineers, John Lee, met with our Harvesting Machines Team leader Ian McCall and engineer Bradley Cowan from our HQ to install and commission this new addition.
The SP 561 LF is optimised for high-productivity on 12-43cm diameter trees - with the ability to cut up to 60cm when required. The ability for precise measurements in combination with the ability to delimb down to 30mm make sure first-thinnings can be done fast and efficiently, leaving a high-quality finish. In final cutting, when handling large diameter trees, the smart SP LogHold and proportionally angled feed rollers turns the SP 561 LF into a harvester head with an impressive capacity/weight ratio and unrivalled productivity - which will deliver the perfect balance to support the varied workload.
