I was watching the T7 vs American Tele comparison and a common question of mine came into play again. I have a 90’s American Tele a Roadhouse Stratocaster, and several classic vibe strata and Tele’s. I forgot I also own a Squier vintage modified strat. The question I have is what would you expect to wear out on an foreign built fender style guitar over an extended period in average conditions and usage. My vintage modified I play as much or more than any, other than showing wear visually it shows or exhibits no wear to speak of. My American Tele has very worn frets but other than that it feels like it get better as years go buy. I know I’ve just grown very accustomed to it but then again it’s thirty years old. Anyway I enjoyed the video and subscribed to the channel.

Thank you for subscribing Steve. With some of the foreign guitars you may run into some issues with the wiring, toggle switches, input jacks, those kinds of things. Generally that's where companies try to save money. That would be my best guess. Again thanks for subscribing and watching the videos.

Current 2024 Gibson spec shows nylon nut. Is yours nylon or bone? This guitar looks killer and sounds great. I have a 2010 ‘61 Reissue with PAF style Humbuckers, but would like one with P90’s. Is the neck on yours a thin taper or is it pretty chunky?

The neck profile is pretty thin, and the nut is bone. The hand wound P90s are some of my favorite pickups. Thank you for watching the video.

The Gibson custom shop sg specials are much better guitars than the vintage sg specials,I had one in the 1970’s and all had horribly weak neck joints, just horrendous.almost every sg special made in the 1960’s had heel cracks, twisted necks, broken necks because the neck joints were soooo bad.the neck was never set deep enuf into the sg body, they sounded great but were built like crap.the longer neck tenon of the cust shop SG’s corrected this fault
