It's understandable that you see similarities. For decades, Kpop has recruited American hip hop choreographers in an attempt to imitate black entertainers.

it's insane and sad how much of the entertainment industry mimics black culture yet so many countries are still so racist especially toward black people, I'm not saying necessarily kpop idols are racist or anything cause a lot of them grow to appreciate and understand the culture that they imitate after working so closely with hip hop entertainers but it's sad.
I had a huge BTS phase a few years ago and I watched those videos when they were first formed, they were sent to America to work and learn from hip hop choreographers, etc.

Sean Bankhead choreographed this video. He actually was the choreographer for Fifth Harmony as well! I believe he had to give the group alot easier dance moves so that everybody could keep up. Normani has always been a great dancer and she also used to be in gymnastics before she was in the group. She couldn't really showcase all of her dance abilities in the group. Oh and do you guys recognize the beat? This song lowkey samples One In A Million by Aaliyah. Aaliyah's influence is still seen today. Normani's album just came out on Friday. You guys should check it out and react to some of Normani's previous videos.
