Why would she tell him he had a son now that he's dead?? You kept it a secret for the 20 years he was alive, NOW you wanna tell the man he had a son he'll never really get to know?? Sounds unspeakably cruel to me.
Totally agree! She’s just selfish, it was selfish of her to keep him from his son, selfish to keep him from his father and the ultimate selfish is to tell him he had a son after he’s dead. Now he’s grieving a loss he can’t even comprehend. I won’t be watching this movie and I love Richard Gere’s work.
Richard Gere is a nice person. I was waiting in line at a bank in Hollywood, filthy from construction work. This was in the 80's. Richard was in front of me. He turned and asked me what I was working on. He was genuinely interested and present. Good things happen to good people.
I agree. I photographed him in NYC in the 90's when he was at the height of his fame. Walked in and introduced himself in a very humble way and was sweet the entire shoot. Class act.
Well, not necessarily. I mean, good things DO NOT happen to good people. I'm pretty good, NEVER harmed anyone in my life, and NOTHING REALLY GOOD ever happened to me.
He was undescribable in "Hachiko." I must have watched that movie no less than 20 times, showing it to my English Language class. Some of the students cried.
@@elephantjournal China hates him because he advocates for the rights of people in Tibet. Lots of studios cut his roles because his films were restricted in China, a big market. Sad.
Gere--one of the greats. Still handsome as ever. He was apparently blacklisted for 20 years for his activism at an Oscars event, took him more or less out of many starring roles.
Ok, the trailer told me everything I need to know, without seeing the film. Clearly, Diane Krueger's character was having an affair with Gere's character's underaged son. Krueger was obsessed with the son, and because the son wanted to or did break it off with Krueger's character, she killed him. Gere's character begins to figure out that this older woman was obsessed (tired re-tread of Glenn Close's character "I will not be ignored!!"), and he realizes she killed his son. Rest of the film, is Gere's character trying to prove it.
Suzanne clement is a very talented French Canadian actress well known in Quebec and in French speaking countries. She is especially effective in playing multifaceted characters. She also knows how to magnify and make the other actors shine to make the scenes believable.
@@JPcommunicates you communicate but you didn’t seem to understand my post. That movie seems depressing and there is too much in the real world right now that is depressing.
The first movie I ever saw with Ricahrd Gere was "King David" where he played the main role as King David. Still one of the best movies ever made as far as I am concerned.
Great to see Gere back on the big screen. He has a fantastic ability for dramas like this. I would highly recommend you watch his performance in Arbitrage. A great movie. Looking forward to watching this at my AMC 🍿
Been a Gere fan since 1980 (American Gigolo), Father time still remains undefeated! Gere in his mid-70's now, but good to see still acting, I'll go and see the movie only because stud Gere is in it, he's made some great movies throughout his career! thx for the entertainment.
This movie looks epic can’t wait to see Richard Gere he should get an Oscar one for this film amazing actor especially in officer and a gentleman and the iconic Pretty woman and so many more🫶🏻💜🙏🏻
This looks wicked - love Richard Gere, one of America’s greatest actors and romantic heroes - I’m betting in the twist, the son had a child with one of those women (girlfriend or teacher etc).
I hope this is at the theatre and not on cable, app or tv. I want to go to the theatre, sit at the very top in the middle with my popcorn and Mr. Pibb.
about time Diane Kruger does some real acting, since 'National Series' films had her just along for the ride, but Mr. Gere exudes raw emotion from his co-starring actresses like Julia Roberts.

It sounds more like what it is: a contrived event to spawn an unraveling story.
Totally agree!
You're absolutely right

We need more Richard Gere ❤

He should take over from Ian McKellan as Magneto, he looks just like him now.
you said that right! Very likable, good screen presence, not at all cringe

Can you just comment on Diane Kruger. Thank you.
Richard Gere is one of the underestimated actors in Hollywood. He deserves more credit.

Richard Gere to me is the living manifestation of what a Gentleman looks like
Richard Gere is timelessly handsome! 😍 Love his movies!
Omg I haven’t seen Richard Gere in anything for YEARS! He looks good. I love his silver fox vibe. ❤

Yea...sounds about right. I will wait for Netflix to show it at some point
Why write this? Seriously.
The trailer was obvious.
What a great setting, actor and everything. Like I’m watching a 90’s/00’s movie. I’m gonna enjoy this one👍🏼
That looks really good. I can't wait to see it.
One of my favs, especially when told for years I look like him. Nice to be compared to such a genuine, kind person.
Yes, you kinda do, Michael, with those narrow, slitty eyes.
I look exactly like him at 3am and if you keep all the lights off.
Love Gere 😍 this looks like a lifetime drama series!! we shall see

With all the horror going on in the world right now is it too much to ask for an encouraging uplifting hopeful movie. Thank you.
That movie isn't uplifting. Besides that world isn't about horror.

Woo that set a chill down my spine. Looks like a good thriller with a unique premise.
Refreshing seeing a trailer that doesn't basically tell it all.
Intriguing.
I still have him in my younger heart in An Officer and a Gentleman 😊
Selfish woman not to have told him about his son when he was born. Heartbreaking.

I am a fan since “The Officer and the Gentleman”.
Richard Gere plays Richard Gere. He's not an actor but a movie star. Always interesting. I'd watch this just to be entertained by charisma.
He’s really a nice guy. I’ve met him a few times for my job back in the early 90’s. He’s very down-to-earth.
