Love the outcome for this family, glad to see the mother got what was due payed for her actions.
Always Tell the Truth and Stick to your Morals and Values and even though you will face hardship and criticism in the end you will live a good life and things will work out even if just for yourself. One can't always rely on family and friends as sometimes the Evil overpower the good ones.

If there are so many members of her extended family in that town, surely one of them would know where she is.
Knowing and admitting that they know are separate things.
All the members of her extended family (with one exception) were all convinced he was "harassing" his daughters and were busy spreading rumours about him to that effect.
Check it from somebody who has experienced fifth. Remember, then my wife ran away with my daughter's. I try contacting her family. They sa did didn't know where she was. Living with her brother Is in pennsylvania So yeah The guy's right knowing is one thing a admitting is another

She couldn't.. if you're lawyer knows your whereabouts they have to tell the courts.

Confusing but still a sweet story. Im pretty sure i have it all figured out toward the end.
A lot of things are messed up in this story. How could she get married before getting a divorce?
I don't think it is routine to run an investigation to see if one is already married, when applying for a marriage certificate.
If they forged the adoption papers they likely forged more documents as well.

I went to school with a kid named Ronald McDonald. He was a nasty, surly guy who looked like he'd kill you if you said the wrong thing to him. He was massive and muscular too so you knew he could do it.

THE HELEN STORY AND THE FOCKING BLAH BLAH ABOUT THE LAKE AND THE FISHING IS TOTALLY UNECESSARY. NO POINT IN THE HISTORY JUST FOCKING FILLING TO MAKE THE STORY PAINFULLY LONGER AND THE IMPORTANT FACTS AND THE END TOTALLY BOTCHED

I would complain about the use of pronouns which seems to change throughout the story. But since the kid's today are screwed up anyway i figured it appropriate for AI to be confused about pronouns also.
Read this before, in much better format. it was much better.
