#TheHungerGames
Experience the story of THE HUNGER GAMES - 64 years before Katniss Everdeen volunteered as tribute, and decades before Coriolanus Snow became the tyrannical President of Panem.
THE HUNGER GAMES: THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS & SNAKES follows a young Coriolanus (Tom Blyth) who is the last hope for his failing lineage, the once-proud Snow family that has fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol. With his livelihood threatened, Snow is reluctantly assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), a tribute from the impoverished District 12. But after Lucy Gray’s charm captivates the audience of Panem, Snow sees an opportunity to shift their fates. With everything he has worked for hanging in the balance, Snow unites with Lucy Gray to turn the odds in their favor. Battling his instincts for both good and evil, Snow sets out on a race against time to survive and reveal if he will ultimately become a songbird or a snake. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Oh that must have been a REAL stab in the back then for Snow knowing Lucy wrote that yet Katniss was singing it amd using it as a rebellion song. I LOVE it.
Wow true
Which kind of explains why he felt so attacked by her instantly. That and the fact that she was literally called The Mockinjay, he hated them
Mockingjays because were also a symbol of Lucy and the covey, while the snake and it's poison were a symbol of the Dr and what Snow would choose to become.
How much I'd love to see his face when Katniss were first filmed singing this
@@mariavictoriasorianolopez9932 that good point but i do think the song took him back that day in the woods and he still in loved in lucy grey. i wouldn't be surprise snow went to District 12 to look for her.
wow as someone who fell in love with this series as a pre teen and to be a 23 year old (will be 24 when it releases) woman now and still have this franchise mean so much to me is such a testimony on how special THG books/films are. I definitely sobbed watching this, Francis Lawrence and everyone definitely did the book justice and will probably even exceed expectations. So phenomenal, I can’t wait.
girl same as you i was a pre teen when i read the book and now i am 24 , the fact that they are releasing a new movie is heartwarming !! love it
Same here! I’m so excited to watch the movie. I read the book last summer and it was just as amazing as the other Hunger Games books!
What’s your attachment to it? I have one to another series and it’s simple, it’s just about how much someone could love someone else and become a family.
Same for me! I will be 24! I’ve read the first one probably 4 times and so excited for this movie! It brings me back to great memories
God, same! I also grew up with this series and other dystopian books. They always held a special place in my childhood.
Francis Lawrence, the director, is someone in the industry who is admirable. He's one of few directors who can tackle book-to-film adaptions and sustain the spirit and charm of their written source. Watching the trailers and clips that have been released so far is exactly how I imagined it while reading the book.
Totally agree, Lawrence is really underrated. The 3 hunger games movies he made were as close as possible to the books and apparently that’s a skill only very few directors possess these days.
He’s also well known in the music business as he started out directing music videos.
That rendition of “Hanging Tree” by Zegler at the end is just absolutely beautiful 😍
to bad this will be the one and only movie she is in by liongate... they have pretty much blacklisted that activist brat.
@@austindrake4697no one cares
@gdesiree29 oh I know no one cares... none of her films will be successful.
@gdesiree29 takes a special kind of brat to be given such an opportunity and at ever turn you make the people giving you a chance.. regret it. Terrible role model. 😪 lol
@@austindrake4697as I said no one cares.
Dear God, that montage at the end with Zegler’s “The Hanging Tree” is HAUNTING. Well done!
Ya its good. It's supposed to be haunting cuz the story behind it was dark
Zegler sounds like a dead cat 😂 the fuck you talking about
It not only gave me chills all over my entire, but my jaw also dropped and my eyes rolled back in my head. Holy SHIT that was well done!
My spine broke, leapt out of my body and stabbed the artery in my leg…..it was that good 💀
i had goosebumps when Zegler sang “Hanging Tree” at the end. it was PERFECTION!
It's coming out tomorrow

I love that the hanging tree was sang to give hope in the form of fleeing, and then 64 years later, it was used to give hope in the form of rally together and fight back
Everything about this movie looks great for the release with the exception that it sucks that we have a SAG strike going on to not let the cast speak on it. This is a pretty nice behind the scenes look. If this is the last Hunger Games movie (if the studio says otherwise or the author makes more books) then I hope they go out on a banger.
they should push it back for a year
I'm quite happy to hear from the people behind the cameras, frankly
@@Angel_Taffy no the WGA strike is over, but the SAG-AFTRA strike is still ongoing

@@cazyjohn2005 to be truthful, likely because they know Ziegler can’t say something to hurt the movie.
Finally new footage from the BOSS😭🫶🫶 The production design and Lucy’s Hanging Tree version totally shook to my core, can’t wait 😭😭
The one thing that I hope is maintained in the film, is the manipulation of Coriolanus by Dr. Gaul. In the book, you can clearly see that she begins to instruct him from her very first interaction with him. As the story continues, she sees Snow as her pupil and is the reason Snow becomes the man he is in the original trilogy. He des not become that man because the love story falls apart. He becomes that man because of his view of humanity: that humanity must be controlled.
I still feel that heartbreak is a key element as to why snow became the cruel tyrant he is. He was raised in a world of rebellion, bloodshed, cruelty and instability. Lucy Gray gave him the only ounce of hope he had left in life, but that world of instability is what truly made him who he is.
@@Chatterbox-94 I would say that this is partially true. One of the main deciding factors was Lucy Grey turning on Snow. However, I don’t think that he would have reacted the way he did if not for the instruction of Dr. Gaul. She even says in the book that she was essentially controlling his summer from their first meeting.
I’m so excited for this movie! The book to movie transition shown in this trailer is so good that I have goosebumps. Also this is a different movie and company than the Snow White film so can we not share this negativity because Rachel is in the film? 😅
💯💯💯💯💯💯 and she had said nothing bad about hunger games. She's acting thats it. She even looks like Lucy gray and the voice she has . She's a hunger games fan so people need to leave her alone here

This is perfection, I LOVE it, especially hearing the line 'I am honored to introduce to you the creator of the Hunger Games themselves, Dean Casca Highbottom.' OMG they shot parts of it in Leipzig, in the Monument to the Battle of the Nations! I've visited it some time ago and instantly recognised the inside! I'm really excited about this movie!
The music for this was amazing 🤩 so happy that James Newton Howard is doing it again, he created such a beautiful soundtrack for the other movies
I started getting chills when I read he’ll be back for this! So stoked!
I got chills the second she started to sing Hanging Tree. Holy cow.
when Highbottom is giving his speech to the mentors that moody almost chamber music underneath the scene, its so good.
The “hanging tree” part at the end gave me absolute CHILLS!
ARE YOU ARE YOU COMING TO THE TREE

The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes looks very impressive and the new version of Hanging Tree with the original lyrics sounds awesome. Can't wait to see it in IMAX.
i'm so excited for this. Haven't felt this way for a film since a long time ago, the hunger games did it again

And omg, the mockingjay theme at the end...
This looks like potentially one of the best movies this year!
I agree I think this will be the 1st movie I see twice
Based on a trailer?
It's going to be super interesting to see how they do this, as the book is like 70% internal monologue. Snow panicking, overthinking everything. But that doesn't translate well in a film.
I saw this before the Fathom Events release and I'm so glad most of everyone returned to work on this film.
I don't have any words for how excited I am !!! And so much of this was filmed in Berlin, I can recognise so many sights !!
I got chills when she sang the Hanging Tree it’s absolutely beautiful ❤
Can't wait. I'll go with my mom. We loved all the Hungergames movies and always watched them together at the movie theater.
Caesar Flickerman:I love it!
i grew up with the hunger games series and to be now an adult and still get chills over a new project….. thank you so much for this 😖
As a German it is so interesting to recognise all the different locations the movie seems to be filmed in: Didn't look it up, but I feel like I recognised Altes Museum Berlin, Pergamon Museum, Strausberger Platz and the Olympic stade. And the big hall with the statues looked a lot like the Völkerschlachtdenkmal in Leipzig to me...? I can't wait to watch the movie and discover even more places! :)
It was Filmed in Landschafts Nordpark in Duisburg too :)
Conceptually and broadly put, a hybrid period piece that's true to itself, otherworldly yet so realistic at the same time.
I'm so excited to see how the old anthem of the capitol will sound like
Just read the book for the third time! Can't wait for the movie and hear the music.
Remember the hanging tree song is coming out tomorrow, this friday.
so excited to see this going to premiere of it on Thursday the 16th of November ❤
Snow is actually brilliantly portrayed. I didn’t really see Lucy in the character thought.
it’s the complete opposite for me tbh
its the absolutely complete opposite. Snow shouldn't be in love. He is not in love by Lucy Bard lol I don't know which book these people read, but its not the one Suzanne Collins wrote.
Yes, I 100% agree! The appearance of Snow is very fitting. Lucy however, not what I was expecting.... the voice, the personality, everything haha

When this movie was first announced I was so happy Francis Lawrence was directing. His movies have such a distinct style that is perfect for this series.
I’m so excited to watch this movie!!
Saw it last night and today when it got released.. part 2 please
I'm actually crying. This is so beautiful and I just cannot wait to watch this! I've been wanting to read the book since it was released and it wasn't until later last year when the book was given to me as a gift. It overwhelmed me at first so it sat on my bookshelf for quite some time. I devoured it this May, reading past my limits, and now that we're a month away, I can't wait to relive the experience. This looks so promising.
I loved this book and I CANT WAIT for this movie! I am ready to be taken back to Panem. I would watch a whole triology about Snow's twisted turn into the man we see in the Hunger Games
This movie is going to be AWESOME ❤
I read the book, I love the cast, enjoyed the trailers and the special feature videos and I am so excited to finally watch the movie 🤩
Honestamente cada vez me emociono más por el estreno de esta película. La actuación de Tom Blyth es la que más ha captado mi atención y hasta ahora me ha encantado

Rereading this right now!! I can’t wait!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I do hope that this movie can become successful despite that people don't like Zegler. The movie looks like it was made with passion, and bringing people who worked on the other hunger games is cool. I personally would've liked it if they kept a few piece of information in secret for people to find out in the movie themselves, but that's it.
Don't like Ziegler? She was good in West side story. Is it cuz her snow white movie?
@19EHF I forgot how to spell her name for a second 😅 But yeah, that's the main issue, but it's mostly due to the actress behavior. But I do hope that this movie turns out well regardless.
@@van_van1533It’s due to the behavior of the idiots constantly trashing her for no reason
Well, knowing that she has an ego as big as her mouth, the best thing that can happen to this movie is for Zegler to stay quiet, whether this movie is successful or not will depend on that.
