No, these diesel units have all been retired. Their is maybe like two as spare units. The only other Rapid Rails left are LNG Consolidated Disposal Rapid Rails, in the old school colors. Then a grip in Republic colors, branded Consolidated.
Aw that sucks there’s actually a ton of CDS signboards on the newer rapid rails since every time I go through East LA pretty much all the residential trucks are rebranded CDS trucks. Is the autoreach still around!
Sweet throwback David! Hope all is well with you! Missing these trucks already. I wonder if the Long Beach yard will buy ZRs like a lot of other Republic yards in the nation or will they stick with Rapids?
Damn sad to hear it’s been retired, I grew up with these trucks my whole life. Btw are those LNG trucks in the original colors gonna be in service for a while cause those are pretty neat and what’s the condition on the amrep and auto reach? This is the truck (2910) that collected recycles in maywood and she always kicked ass haha, great video man
Yeah, there was 5 for a fact that got scrapped. About two or three are now actually CR&R trucks, Consolidated Disposal, and Republic Services Colton traded off some units, and Republic sold Republic Services Colton to CR&R. So CR&R has a decent amount of older Disposal Services, Consolidated Disposal Service, and even a few Allied Waste trucks. Most of which is repainted, at the very least rebranded to CR&R. The rest have been sent to other Republic locations though out the country. The Amreps have sadly been retired, even before the Rapid Rails. The Autoreach's are still their, being they are LNG units. As well as the old school color Consolidated LNG units. Thank you sir!
Nice job David love these RR truck I am not much of a RR fan but it said they were retired the sound of them is great to
How do you guys all know like the models of the trucks like rapids , zrs etc

Nice video miss these old beast in East LA. There no longer in LA country? Hope not

Yes thankfully trucks are still supporting the Consolidated Disposal name! Yes both Autoreachs are still around!

TheNVTrashMan I’m pretty sure every yard is getting ZRs now, I heard Long Beach has an Autocar ZR.
TheNVTrashMan Long Beach has been getting a lot of new trucks lately, I follow this one driver and Long Beach has also gotten some Pete 520 ZRs.
